That pool sounds awesomeWe've got a pool. It's ******* awesome but we can't be bothered maintaining it ourselves so we have a pool man who looks after it for us. It's quite expensive to run but we do get a fair bit of use out of it. We have solar heating so it does require a couple of hot days in a row for it to warm up to a really nice temperature.
I think the amount of use you get out of it depends on the size of the pool as well. Mine is big and 7m deep at one end, so it's good for swimming. I have an aunt who has a small pool that is the same depth for the whole length and they only use it on extremely hot days.

Salt or chloro?
7m? Is that a typo? Even 2m is pretty deep for a home pool. We've got a pool. It's ******* awesome but we can't be bothered maintaining it ourselves so we have a pool man who looks after it for us. Does it have a shade sail? We've got a pool. It's ******* awesome but we can't be bothered maintaining it ourselves so we have a pool man who looks after it for us. From an investment point of view you won't get the captial expenditure back when you sell if you live south of Coffs Harbour as you won't be using it for over half the year. From a personal view, if you are actually going to use it properly then it might be worth it, but if you want it only for the really hot days save your money.missus wants one. I don't see it worth the investment, especially as we live a block away from the town pool conplex

There are a lot of home buyers who will walk away the moment they see a pool because they don't want the upkeep.Yeah that's my thinking. The house came with an in ground spa which we rarely use, her parents have a pool they haven't used more than 5 times a year recently... It just ain't worth it when it costs $5 to use the local a 5 minute walk away. Then you have to add time and costs and effort requires for maintainence, and the space a decent sized one will take up in the yard (too much IMO).
Just not something I see value in all things considered
Pros: Easy access to drinking water
Pros: Get wet easily
