..Fev did not exactly set the world on fire first 4 years in and the fact that Schulz had 2 seasons ruined by injury should also be taken into account. ...

This is hilarious, sounds like desperate "Terry spin logic" to me. So let me get this right, you think anyone that doesn't "set the world on fire" after 5 years can be as talented as Fev. Hilarious. Here's a thought - perhaps Schulz is a no-talent draft blunder - seems to be the general consensus. :)

Jay Shultz to me is a decent player but has sturggled the last few years

And it seems you think that anyone that does not dominate after 1-3 years is a draft blunder. Lucky for you Walker actually done something in his third season other wise you would have had to write him off as Carlton blunder. Perhaps thats something we could look at in another thread who has had the better first 2 years Walker or Tambling the fact that Tambling has had better stats in his first 2 years compared to what Walker did but thats for another time. ;)

Onto the topic at hand Schulz, I never said that Schulz would be as good as Fev, what I did show though was that Fev took a while before he blossomed into a Coleman Medal winner. In fact I'll refer you to another player that you would deem a draft blunder, Barry Hall. His first 3years (32 games) he averaged 7.8 disposals 2.8 marks & 0.7 goals a game. Very similar numbers to Schulz and using your logic he should be classed as a draft blunder and a dud and should have been delisted after 3 years of failure but when he got some consistent games under his belt his figures began to improve. After his 4th year his figures rose to 9.5 disposals 4.4 marks and 1.2 goals a game because he actually got to play 20 straight games that season missing Rounds 1 & 22. If Schulz can get some consistent games under his belt there should be no reason he can't improve.

But hey Parrot don't let a few facts get in the way of your rubbishing of the Tigers:
Fact 1: Fev's career did not take off until his 5th season when he kicked 63 goals after playing all 22 games that year for the first time.
Fact 2: Fev struggled to have an impact for the first 4 years of his career and Hall struggled for the first 3 years before he started to blossom.

There is still time for Schulz to turn it around and the figures seem to indicate that given a chacne to play he will.

Jay Schulz had one great game against Brisbane in 2004 and everybody thought that he was the new superstar. Since then, he has become just as sober as a Collingwood player. Even if he does make any progress, it won't be fast.

Do you look in the bowl after you take a sh it???
Of course you dont... as if anyone rates any richmond player dude.

Well he's not fast, is a poor contested mark, has poor footy smarts, is an ordinary kick, doesn't know how to time a lead, is terrible under pressure, has little natural ability, and he has been like that for 3-4 years. The worse thing the Tiges can do, is compound the draft error by playing this guy in their seniors. He has about 0.00000001% of Fevs natural ability. :)

i actually agree with this tool, bolton, henneman>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Schulz

wtf is it about you and fev??? this pole is about jay schulz

I rate Schulz about as highly as i rate Polak and Hall.
Tigers...spoon in the bag!
Spoon in the bag?
Lucky for us Carlton and Essendon have the bottom two spots signed sealed and delivered already:thumbsu:

..Tigers...spoon in the bag!

Yes, I've sort of arrived at that conclusion as well. The Tiges have major deficiencies on every line now. The trade/draft gaffs in recent years, have slowly crept up on them and are reaching a critical mass. Tiges fans resorting to talking up a no-talent like Schulz is even a little sad. Tiges fans have been through 25+ years of mediocrity now, and still have made no progress. I'm even feeling sorry for them. I'm predicting many of the Richmond faithful to get fed up with Terry's post-gaff spins this year as well. Hopefully we wont have a another Danny Frawley incident though. :)

Ignorance is Bliss hey Parrot. What happened did my last post make too much sense for you to apply your typical spin to? You know it is the truth and therefore have ignored it, how typical of you. I have not actually spoke Schulz up just showed that there is till time for him to turn it around much the same way that Fev did after 4 years of nothing and Hall who struggled for his first 3 years.

Hate to break it to you but Walker was a huge blunder.
Imagine drafting a player who can't even kick the ball properly.
What a waste of a #2 draft pick.

Yet Tambling is the one labelled a blunder:confused:

I'm actually abssolutely delighted with Walkers progress, and he looks like being the best of the 2003 draft, although Cooney's probably better at this stage. Extremely talented, with loads of pace and X-factor. If you start watching football games, you'll appreciate some of the sensational rebound he provides from our defence. Superstar potential. :)

I'd be delighted by Walker as well if the team i followed existed to win wooden spoons.
Thankfully i don't follow Carlton.

As mentioned he did something in his third year in what was he like first 2 years somewhere below Tambling I believe.

Both played 33 first 2 seasons and you label Tambling a blunder. Stats show Tambling was better than Walker:

Walker 9.6 possies 2.5 marks 1.75 tackles 0.2 goals
Tambling 11 possies 4 marks 2.2 tackles 0.7 goals

But like I said will sve that for another day. Will give you a chance to get some thought into how you would respond to the Blues 'blunder'. But then Walker is not a blunder is he Parrot after all you don't write off players in their first 2 years do you?

I take no notice of stats, I only watch footy games. Numbers like 1.75 tackles and 0.7 goals are meaningless and stupid, and just reflects your lack of football knowledge.. Here's a tip - go watch some footy games, and WATCH how players actually play the game. :)

I'll provide an unbiased opinion and say Tabling has shown more then Walker thus far, although I don't believe Tambling will ever become a player, he has shown more in 2 years then Walker has in 3.

Walker is looking like a complete mistake, just remeber, David Clarke was an athlete, but when you can't kick, your football career is in jepordy.
