I have been thinking the same thing. Still a very long way to go, but his clean skills, balance and awareness remind me of a young James Hird.
I actually see alot of Peter Motley.
He does have something about him that reminds me of James Hird. Not saying he'll be anywhere as good as, as Hirdy was once in a lifetime, but he does have some Hird traits.

I see it as well.
Still, let's not go overboard with the comparisons with the great James Hird. He's really coming along nicely this season, and who knows how far he could go with his sublime ability.

Recent player Hirdy, but I mentioned last night on another thread how watching Bryce gave me the same feeling as 1986 when I first watched Peter Motley.
I see alot of Hirdy in him.

Hasnt shown Hirds ability as a marking target yet but I reckon he has shown better evasiveness....he has an awesome sidestep.
Think he will end up with a much stronger body than Hirdy.....more a physique like N Buckley.
Will be an elite player of a similar standing to thise 2 if not even better

I see more Buckley. 
I was saying this to my mate at the game yesterday - he has Hird's class and a similar ability to hurt the opposition any time he has the ball and we're in an advantageous position (unlike numerous others who hand the advantage back to the opposition over and over again).
His composure in heavy traffic is absolutely first rate too.
Hird's overhead marking was freakish though.
In 4 more years Bryce will be 22.

ill tell you guys what im watching some old footage of james hird 1996 matches and i see a lot of bryce gibbs in james hird
