Does anyone else want those bunch of cocky assclowns Hawthorn to get bloody flogged in the finals?
Me personally I hope they get flogged ,even if they make the grand-final, I hope Geelong beat them by 100 points.

I understand its football and someone shouldn't be handed out a 100th goal but at least play the game for what its worth. tripple teamed? come on seriously.

I have lost complete respect for Hawthorn and are up there as my most hated team. I think its very poor form and seriously I feel ashamed to be Australian because that is so un-australian and pathetic.

Hope you pricks get flogged you bunch of cocky pricks.
Any hawthorn supporters who actually think it was poor form?

Questions: Why does it take until the last quarter when Fev is within the 100 for him to excert forward pressure? Why didn't he chase and harass like that in the first 3 quarters and a half? Why didn't he kick straight in the first half? By his own admission "I couldn't believe how nervous I was".
Triple teamed? That never happens to Buddy does it?! Frustrating huh?
As for the cocky pricks, assclowns, pathetic and un-australian.

A lot of supporters are full of shit from all clubs when their teams are winning a lot of football. Don't give me your crap about cocky. Wayne Johnston, Harmes, McClure, Rhys-Jones, Ashman etc.. when you were up and running Carlton supporters were just the same. And when this team develops I'll bet my house on it you will fire up again.

Pathetic and un-Australian? John Elliot and bit of salary cap cheating?!
99 Great effort. Should have got it off his own boot. Fev knows it. So your theory is that everytime a cricketer reaches 99 you should bowl him a full toss and have the field turn their backs so he can get his gift ton?

Good answer Jencke, I am sure no one expected them to be gifted. The only issue I have is being at the game I swear Clarko did change tactics in the last 5 minutes once Fev got 99. Small man syndrome from Alistair??? Not sore but i found it weird for a coach whose team was 70 points up and going on to September and whose ace had already kicked 100 to be worried about stopping him get 100. Anyway, maybe that is how he is and if so good on him. If that is the message and how he expects his team to be, that is, give them nothing, well maybe he is on the right track for ultimate success, time will tell.

Tony Lynn. I will agree with you that Clarko did throw Roughead down there as a loose man with about 10 to go but then he pulled him out of there with 3-4 left. Don't get me wrong. I don't actually mind the Fev and if he had of kicked a 100 then it would have been great for the occassion. I just think Fev shot himself in the foot a bit just as much as Hawthorn defending the situation. It's a passionate game. I'm sure if it were the other way around there would be bucketloads of Hawkers spitting chips at Carlton. Both our clubs have been down for a long time. Now they're both heading up and being ruthless is a hallmark of the successful sides. Remember Riewoldt getting smacked by Scott and Michael? Some said unsportsmanlike. Some said fair game. Opinions huh?

Hey, fair call. To be honest I am not fussed either way. All I am saying is I hope Big Al does not sweat the small stuff too much as it will be his undoing in the finals. The Hawks are the only team in the 8 capable of toppling Geelong and I for one would like to see another team threaten, here is hoping it may be the Hawks and another 1989 GF. Just hope Big Al doesn't get caught up in the minor issues and cloud the bigger picture.

Have a tissue.

Your precious Fev choked three easy shots in the first quarter and picked and chose when to chase and harrass our back line. He wasn't happy when Gibbs decided to kick the goal from a much better position than Fev was in. The time he spent as a teapot last night was amusing.

Perhaps you should take a look at your own players before bagging another club.

Buddy was double- and triple-teamed all night, but he dealt with it, because that's par for the course when any team plays Hawthorn these days and he got on with the job.

The real question is: Given what we saw in the lat quarter last night, is Fevola's effort this season acceptable?
I would answer no because it took a selfish mile stone for him to do the team things (ironic?). Why cant he chase and harrass like that every week, or in games that Carlton really need to win? Answer, because Fevola plays for Fevola and not for his mates or for his jumper. Youse should have traded when youse had the chance.

As for Clarko's tactics or triple teaming: why not. He knew that Fevola would demand the ball especially given he was reaching a personal milestone, so the best move for the team was to cover him with as many as possible.

they'll make a worthy runner up. bulldogs & north both figured out how to beat them when they were firing, that little man will get his collingwood medal for coming 2nd & no one will remember who Geelong beat for the 08 premiership.

Clarkson you little dog, play in the spirit of the game. roughead only got moved away cos the crowd went nuts.

no wonder he's such a hated prick.

Ultimate success being a flag? I woulnd't hold your breath buddy.

But yes, his tactics were odd and strange and pretty patehtic realy.

Hmmmm this makes sweet FA sense. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Fev's played his best season at the club, done more team work, kicked more goals and cried far less than Richo ever has.

No, run along and go back to the housing estate, will youse.

Why would we let him get it? This is football FFS! Quit whining, just think Fev blew his chances when he missed 3 easy shots in the first half.

Just like Nick Stevens. Struggles to get a kick in a big game again so in the spirit of the game kings someone. Good call. As for the 2008 title. Geelong are the best team by far. No doubt. Home and away means nothing now.

Fev missed some shots he would normally kick with ease.

I was also thinking to myself last night that Fev would definitely have picked up another goal or two throughout the course of the year if he chased and harrassed all year like he was in the last 10 minutes of last night's game.

All that aside, I thought it was a little bit unsporting of Clarko to drop extra blokes back in front of Fev late in the game.

Still, maybe it'll make Fev a little bit hungrier for next year.

So, Fev souldn't get the ton because of Elliot, is that what you're saying?

And no Fev didn't do much in the first half - you were kicking Carlton's butt, remember? He had 3 shots, one was a shocker, one missed on the run 50 out from the boundary, and the third, not a regulation shot, hit the post. As for Fev's chasing, unless you expect you're forwards to run around the backline chasing kicks, well...

Comparing a ton in cricket to a ton in football ignores that heaps of cricketers have scored tons whereas only few footballers have scored tons (28). The Hawks could've made history last night - two players scoring tons, and chose not to.

Well done to Buddy

OH yeah, or maybe if he didn't handball off, or pass to his teammates, for example, that goal he gave to Grigg, and the other times he's handballed to his teammates. You're 100% right. If Fev had worked harded and been harrassed he would get 100 easily.

Tool. Did you even watch him this year?

It doesn't matter how Hawthorn supporters spin it,it was a low act.I have read a lot of crap posts, such as "We have always quadruple teamed forwards" and "Roughhead often drops in front of leading forwards." Personally I wouldn't roll over and allow an opposition player to do anything, but I would go for something a little less obvious, maybe double teaming. If then Fev got his 100 then good luck to him.By the way Bower did very well on Franklin, even early when it was game on Franklin got a lot of ball from our turnovers in the back half, not much any defender can do.
The feral/hippie/non showering/dog looking disgrace aka Chance Bateman needs a slap in the face for celebrating at the siren (for stopping Fev) like it was 1999.

well done to buddy

don't beleive a player should be handed his 100th goal, but clarkson flooding tactics in the last quarter lacked a little sportsmanship, why change tactics at that stage of the game with that margin?

clarkson needs to lighten up, he's had a crack at a tassie journo for doing his job -journo reported a few players did not train and might be in doubt to play-had a crack at the mcg curator that the turf is sub-standard...

What a fu**en stupid comment Fev chases hard out of the forward line as anyone and has been rewarded quite a few times with free kicks.

Play for themselves have a look in your own backyard with "Mr Body Language himself" Richo and Nathan Brown - great team players.

Fev does it when it suits him. Most of the time he just stands around arguing with umpires or trying to provoke the cheersquad.
Dont be tolerant of a man who plays for himself. Imagine if he had the attitude of Judd, hed be a really good player

I dont know how long he carried on for but at the siren he started jumping up and down like a girl (sorry AWs Girl) as if they had a won a game by 2 points, was obviously estatic that they managed to stop Fev as you wouldnt be that excitable with that margin

He couldn't possibly be excited for Buddy getting his ton, for the regular season being over and for moving forward to finals in excellent form? And maybe he was glad to beat Carlton because of the low dog act of Stevens king hitting Ladson.

Not everything is about Fev or Carlton. Fact is with regards to Fevola being stuck on 99 (which I thought sucked), that's just tough luck. A coach will do what he needs to do to ensure his team, that is progressing to the finals, has the right mentallity. If we started gifting goals to opponents on purpose... that would not bode well for finals.
