Does anyone else want those bunch of cocky assclowns Hawthorn to get bloody flogged in the finals?
Me personally I hope they get flogged ,even if they make the grand-final, I hope Geelong beat them by 100 points.

I understand its football and someone shouldn't be handed out a 100th goal but at least play the game for what its worth. tripple teamed? come on seriously.

I have lost complete respect for Hawthorn and are up there as my most hated team. I think its very poor form and seriously I feel ashamed to be Australian because that is so un-australian and pathetic.

Hope you pricks get flogged you bunch of cocky pricks.
Any hawthorn supporters who actually think it was poor form?

Mate you have nothing to worry about. Unless you hate Geelong then you have a problem because they have the premiership rapt up and they'll smash the hawks in the last day of september.

fev has chased like that before and got rewarded with a free kick

fev ain't perfect, he's a character and on the whole brings many plusses to the team and the game

he could be more disciplined, but i luv watching him play, never a dull moment with fev on the ground

So, Fev souldn't get the ton because of Elliot, is that what you're saying?

And no Fev didn't do much in the first half - you were kicking Carlton's butt, remember? He had 3 shots, one was a shocker, one missed on the run 50 out from the boundary, and the third, not a regulation shot, hit the post. As for Fev's chasing, unless you expect you're forwards to run around the backline chasing kicks, well...

Comparing a ton in cricket to a ton in football ignores that heaps of cricketers have scored tons whereas only few footballers have scored tons (28). The Hawks could've made history last night - two players scoring tons, and chose not to.

Well done to Buddy

Aah no. That is in response to the call that Hawthorn are un-Australian and pathetic because of their crime in playing football. Compared to John Elliot and co? Nothing to do with Brendan Fevola personally.

100 in cricket is the same thing because almost every time a batsmen is in the 90's the field changes to restrict him from getting easy runs to the 100. What is the difference? Did Hawthorn, or more to the point Clarkson, lack a sense of occasion for Brendan Fevola and his personal ambition of kicking 100. Yeah fine. I will give you that. So what. Clarkson has a set approach to a long term goal and I'm sure he will piss off a few more people in his day. If it was a true flood with 70 points up then why didn't he simply concede the centre square in the last 5 minutes? Remember Hawthorn took it out from the bounce 3-4 times in the last 5 minutes. But I guess that was the umpires fault?

The way your team is developing and if Fev stays focused there's every chance he will kick a couple of tons in the next few years. 2008 is simply the one that got away.

I for one want Hawthorn to cop the biggest massacre in the history of Grand Finals. Hawthorn are a very cocky side, especially that little runt Bateman. He acts in an extremely cocky and loutish manner.

The good thing is that the Cats should win this year's flag and next year's as well. Which will mean Hawthorn window of opportunity to win a flag will have closed significantly.

It is good for Carlton that we won't be serious contender until 2010, right when we expect the Cats to start falling away and the Hawks as well.

The real question is: Given what we saw in the lat quarter last night, is Fevola's effort this season acceptable?
I would answer no because it took a selfish mile stone for him to do the team things (ironic?). Why cant he chase and harrass like that every week, or in games that Carlton really need to win? Answer, because Fevola plays for Fevola and not for his mates or for his jumper. Youse should have traded when youse had the chance.

As for Clarko's tactics or triple teaming: why not. He knew that Fevola would demand the ball especially given he was reaching a personal milestone, so the best move for the team was to cover him with as many as possible.
What a load of sh-t, Fev and our team for most of this season have worked there arses off, so fu-k OK, i mean it FU_K OF

Fev does it when it suits him. Most of the time he just stands around arguing with umpires or trying to provoke the cheersquad.
Dont be tolerant of a man who plays for himself. Imagine if he had the attitude of Judd, hed be a really good player
What sort of fu-kwitt are you he'd be a good player if, FFS he kicked 99 goals this season FU_K OFF

That's because you changed tactics. Nobody else was even trying to kick goals. Gibbs got booed FFS.

Bloody hell you Carlton supporters really have grown to expect charity haven't you?

From now on, the Australian cricket side are going to allow opposition batsman a free single on 99?
Dirk Wellham was on 97 not out in his maiden test, playing against England in England, nerves, good bowling the occassion he was not looking like getting to the ton, Ian Botham in first slip kept talking to him telling him to keep working, dont panic it will come, ball after ball over after over Botham kept at him you can do it, Wellham did, Botham the hardest barsted to ever play cricket for the old enemy, but fair play and decentcy in the game were important to him its called SPORTSMANSHIP MR A Clarkson has none of it.

Yep. With Buddy and Roughhead at the ripe old age of 23, we're sure to decline in 2010. Hawthorn are well ahead of schedule. We won't peak for 4-5 years when our best enter their prime. Amid all your whining from last night, lets not forget Buddy is six years younger than Fev.

I do agree that you'll be a likely challenger in that time too though. Gibbs is a gun (terrible form booing him for kicking a goal last night).

Just like Nick Stevens. Struggles to get a kick in a big game again so in the spirit of the game kings someone. Good call. As for the 2008 title. Geelong are the best team by far. No doubt. Home and away means nothing now.

I think in the 'spirit of the game' bateman should get a flipping hair cut! I cant stand it!

Fev has harassed and chased as much as any key forward in the AFL this season. He's sulked on occasion, but generally his defensive pressure has been fantastic, even when there's been no chance of him winning the ball of the opposition. Of course it went to a different level in the last quarter, he was desperate for the milestone. He is human like every other player in the comp - name me one player who was at the top of his game week in, week out.

When Warnie was caught out on 99 should the Kiwi have deliberately dropped the catch? Give me a break, this is professional sport.

The poor sportsmanship is coming from Carlton fans, not the opposition coach unwilling to give an inch. Fev wasn't good enough to get there despite a terrific season and plenty of gifts last night. Move on.

And your side got pumped. Sore losers.
No but it should have been a no ball:D sore loser what the fu-k is that, the lose means nothing to me today NOTHING, the fact that i could have been wittness to a rare sporting event and was denied that opertunity by a peice of garbage that coaches your football club does bother me.

I gather you were behind this proposal.

The Carlton Football Club with the backing of 30,000 disillusioned supporters has written a joint petition to the International Cricket Council in regards to the correct protocol on reaching 99.

"After seeing the injustice at the Telstra Dome between Hawthorn and Carlton in rd 22, 2008 handed out to our Brendan Fevola it is our view for the good of all sport that no-one should be left stranded on 99 ever again. Hawthorn were disgusting in not gifting him the chance to kick his ton. It was very upsetting for our club and supporters. Our proposal to you is that when a batsmen reaches 99 the bowler MUST only deliver slow full tosses to that batsmen AND the field must turn it's back on play until that batsmen reaches 100. Then normal play can resume. A submission to the AFL will be sent today as well which outlines that only the full forward shall remain in the forward 50 while on 99 AND only 1 opponent that is designated by that full forward is allowed to stand him. It must be pointed out that the opponent can actually be selected from the crowd to make it easier to kick 100. If time runs out then (and only then) can the full forward pick the amount of time he needs to kick his 100.

This is fair and equitable. Unlike the Hawthorn Football Club who were brutally professional."

I don't want Hawthorn to get flogged in the finals just because they beat us. That's kind of silly... I don't mind the Hawks they were just better than us. I actually hope they do well in the finals, there are a few more teams I would rather bow out early than them.

This is Hillarious. Your team motto, which you are all so proud of is

"We are Carlton. F#ck the rest"

Yet you Whinge like this when something doesn't go your way.

You really are a pathetic club supported by pathetic people

Is there any fu*king reasons the Mods feel the need to let these Hawthorn trolls be the first to comment on every bloody thread and continue. Go back to your own bloody boards. FU** OFF

Hey, fair call. To be honest I am not fussed either way. All I am saying is I hope Big Al does not sweat the small stuff too much as it will be his undoing in the finals. The Hawks are the only team in the 8 capable of toppling Geelong and I for one would like to see another team threaten, here is hoping it may be the Hawks and another 1989 GF. Just hope Big Al doesn't get caught up in the minor issues and cloud the bigger picture.

Great Post...:thumbsu: I think you two hit the nail on the head.

Southern Cross did a slow play replay of the incidence and you could see Stevens behind other players on the ground reach up and hit Laddos face.

When it was played in normal speed, it was hard to tell between all the players.

Bateman doesn't normally agressivly act the others team players.

If you slow it down a tad more Nick Stevens is on the Grassy Noll and it was his bullet that killed JFK not Oswalds.
Congrats to buddy Strike 1 - 100 goasl
Strike 2 - Coleman medal
Perhaps Strike 3 will be the flag

agree with all that. A replay showed Stevens reaching up and whacking Ladson. It did take them a bit of time to find the footage mind you.

Would like to see Milburn use his powers for good rather than evil and iron out Bateman.

Quality work, much appreciated. Posts like this are good examples of the difference between AFL supporters and followers of the EPL and other rabid, violence-inducing sports/leagues. :thumbsu:
um Thy in your own words lol:p

Violence on the ground is fine, BlueboyWhoWalks. It's the trouble in the terraces over there we want to stay clear of. Also, don't be such a cheeky bugger. :thumbsu:;)
