I'd have to say there are a few candidates to "do an Embley"

Trent Carroll
Darren Glass
Jeremy Humm
Kane Munro
Damien Adkins
Callum Chambers

All players that have been around for a while and haven't taken their chances. Don't think Gaspar can be included as he has been injury prone, while Lynch, Seaby et al haven't really had the chances. Perhaps Kasey Green could be added to the list

Except for "He's hard as a cat's head". How hard is a cat's head? I would have thought it's fairly fragile.

My cat's spent its entire life walking head first into things (well that's what it looks like anyway). Guess it must have a pretty hard head. Then again it acts like its brain damaged most of the time.

This sums up Humm's work ethic.

VoR, I used to know a bloke who would run around town shooting stray cats with an air rifle (yeah, he was a bit of psycho). He always told me that he tried to avoid aiming at the head, because the bullets would just bounce off.

See, you learn something new every day.

Thanks for that Buzz - I feel vindicated!!

Interesting read on Humm too. Maybe he needs to working harder isn't something he hasn't already tried. Interesting to note although he's three years in on our list he was bottom age when we drafted him so you need to expect a bit of a longer period of develpment.

I would also like to see Jones and Hunter step up a gear. While I think they are good players I think that they have some improvement left in them and taking the next step would see them become superstars.

I can't wait to see the kids' expression tonight when I beat the cat about the head severely with a baseball bat, then stand back and see their amazement as it looks at me with a Troy Wilson-style "why don't you hit me harder, Mr Martyn" pose.
