I liked what he did today, did some nice things and looked reasonably composed with ball in hand. Need more games into him.

He is also instinctive, when he hasn't got time to think he makes the correct decision and executes it well. His errors come when he has time which is a good thing imo, and will be easy to address when he gets more comfortable at the top level.

Given he's probably played about 3 and half games of AFL in terms of total time on the park, when taking into account all the sub appearances, i'm very happy.

Could see him hitting 20+ possessions playing a full game.

Can also see where the Simon Black comparisons came from. Look forward to seeing him really step it up in 2015.

Yeah thats it. Given amount of time spent on field in bursts due to sub, I like what he has done. He takes it on, not afraid to hold onto the ball in traffic and sidestep or yesterday did a beautiful roll of the shoulder to shake the tackler and for his first few possessions in football I like the kicks he tries to execute, usually a very good option that isn't easy hit.

Its funny there has been comparisons to Pendlebury and one Centre Clearnce (IIRC) yesterday, the way he moved I thought it was Pendlebury in an Eagles jumper. Looked smooth.

Good to see him get a bit of a run. Lucky on two accounts to have got so much game time, Frenchy late withdrawal and the Ellis injury.
I'm sure with more games into him he will improve and become an important cog.
He just needs more games into him.
Good under pressure and able to release the ball in a tackle, to team-mates.

Looking forward to see how he goes once he has more games into him.:D

So if I'm reading this right, you're saying he needs less time on the paddock?

I don't see him being indecisive with his disposal. I would say its more about anticipating the best option than hesitance.

Not indecision, more like too much time allows him to second guess or try to be perfect. Too much time to think and he sees lots of options. With more time the game'll "slow down" for him, but I think because he has the smarts and the vision without the confidence yet that this happens.

He's been pretty impressive the last fortnight IMO.

He gets the arms up to absorb/evade the tackle. Coupled with the fact he has long arms and pretty strong core, it gives him that extra bit of time to find a teammate with the handball. This is where the comparisons to Pendlebury and Black come from. On a side note, I've also noticed Priddis has been doing this a lot more the past two weeks and it's really reflected in his improved handball efficiency.

His kicking in general play has been very good the past two weeks. What he has shown is that while he can tend to hack it on the boot under severe pressure (understandable given his age and lack of experience), his kicking (generally flat low passes) and decision making when given space is first class. That 25m kick to Naitanui was very good since he was about to be pressured and bomb it long but pulled his kick at the last second.

Like some people have said, major improvement is needed in his tackling and strength, although that should come with more time in the gym. I've also noticed he's fumbled at times but on the whole has been pretty one touch. With more games under his belt this should improve.

He was in a lot of peoples best 22's for this year and they were all wrong. I think he will remain fringe for next year. He's too little to really do well.

I rate this kid, he will become many fans favorite. Hes up there already for me!

May I ask someone to make me a good avatar of Sheed? Please.

And footage of his odd walk would be cool to lol

Sheed smooth mover he runs like a ******ed giraffe

;)

It was funny I just tried to see if I could get a reply of that play and while looking have you seen Pendlebury walk and run without the footy? Looks funny as well.

Anyway I found the moment it was a inside 50 kick from general play and it really was only the kick that looked smooth. Oh well.

Elbows too pointy.
Disgraceful by our recruiters if this is true. How could they not notice this pre draft? What do we pay them for if they're not correctly assessing the pointy bones of incoming players? I'm gutted by this revelation pants...

On a serious note, game time, game time, game time... Obviously he won't have the fitness base for 90%time on ground but hopefully against Melbourne he plays 75% T.O.G.
Happy for him to sub again this week.

Last 2 games he has seemed to have found his feet.

Pretty happy to see he's been having a couple of pings on goals even if has sprayed it, before he'd look to give it off before even considering the goals. Needed a bit of hunger about him

Does anyone else think Sheed's a bit afraid of getting hurt in contested situations?

Like, when he has the ball in traffic he's good, and he's really good in space, but my very superficial impression is that when the ball's in dispute he's a bit standoffish. Maybe it's just a muscle thing, which will sort itself out.

Probably also a case of being told he can't just jump at the ball all the time, and being conscious of team structures at the contest. Overthinking it a bit.

Sheed did his Collarbone last year, maybe he still doesn't have full confidence in it or he's just hesitant to over commit.
