Don't expect miracles from Robbie Warnock

In that article i found an interesting quote - wonder if that means anything?

Carlton has specific hopes for its fifth-round selection, so managed to wangle a minor swap which saw it exchange its 72 for Fremantle's 69.

Found that rather intriguing myself. Another Steven Browne or Armfield out there somewhere?

I don't expect miracles.

BUT!

I will be slightly disappointed if he can't do a liltte trick like that one where you roll up the newspaper and pour the milk in and then the milk has disappeared when you unroll the paper.

Well this will certainly help with the hatred towards us. Sounds like Today Tonight .... 'big multi-conglomerate' forces little Aussie battler out of business' ... tune in at 6.30 for details.

Once again the might of Carlton meant a club like Melbourne was unable to compete.

Demons football manager Chris Connolly said he was bitterly disappointed the club could not secure Warnock, despite brother Matthew playing for the Demons.

"We weren't able to arrange for him to come to the Melbourne Football Club. That is all part of the process. We had been working on Robbie Warnock for over 12 months, but that's how it plays out."

Hopefully Warnock gets some major hit outs from the middle to get us out of 16th place in that category.

With some more game time and not in Sandilands shadow, this is very achievable!

Sensible for Ratten to dampen down expectation. There's always a tendency to over-hype players in trade week, just because they get talked about so much by a bored media. Warnock is basically a 12 month more advanced version than Hampson, nothing more. :)

Not really hampson hasn't been playing afl for long(previously soccer), so he's gonna take a long time to develop, that is obvious from last year, just didn't look any where near ready in my opinion probably will take another three seasons, where as warnock although looking like a gangly beanpole looks to be an excellent tap ruckman and can get a few kicks round the ground, really reminds me of harry madden and we all know what a champion player he was, same height as warnock, and with our midfield i believe carltons midfield will be a real force.

Don't worry people i reckon this 69 pick might be acting as a bit of a distraction for another plan we have. I think the board are trying to turn clubs attention in the hope of landing someone else. Also on the Warnock debate it is a very good move because it allows us to throw Kreuzer up forward more if we like. And we have seen tht kreuze can be a very valuable contributer in tht position, and it looks like he can kick at goal too. D/w people finally evry1 is seeing the return of the powerhouse and they are full of fear!! Lol all we need now is to lank ROK in the pre-season if he goes, and then watch other teams really hate us. From people saying Warnock and ROK would be unattainable we may end up with both.

Would be funny if we got O'Keefe if only to see the non-Carlton supporter talent envy meltdown. :)

I wouldn't expect much from Warnock except win the taps an get a few marks around the ground I do expect some things around the ground from either hampson or kreuzer

Surely he was screened by our Magic Tricks Department (directly across the corridor from the Finance Department) and this skill was confirmed before we made a play for him? I'd be very disappointed if not. :(
