The Chainsaw is a secondary item and is mapped to the square button on PS4. It does not appear on the weapon wheel, just like the BFG is mapped to triangle button and does not appear on the weapon wheel.

The game does seem to be stingy with petrol tanks for the chainsaw but.

It's X on Xbox. I tried so many different things, I can't believe how stupid I am to have not pressed that at some point in all the hours I've been playing.

It was driving me insane!
 
Took my copy back today, game just didnt feel right.

I must say I checked out some single player on the old YouTube, and looked fun as hell, but can see it getting old quick. Still not day 1 material.

Curse you nostalgia for plucking at my heart strings.
 
Played for a couple of hours last night. Its great, super old school, but this will definitely be a play and return game i think
 
Yep definitely a headphone game. Especially when you trip the gore pile and shit gets real

I have issues finding secrets tbh. Haven't found 3 in a level yet

Had that problem as well. I've started looking for them more now. I'll play through again once I'm done and complete all the tasks.
 
I bought the navigation aid for secrets which is great, because your controller vibrates when you're close, but it gives you no real clues how to get to the bloody thing.

How hard are the rune challenges?! I finished 2 last night but jesus, kill 30 demons in like 6 seconds with a shotgun...You need to work out the order you need to kill them in to get it finished in time. Makes the challenges in far cry look like a walk in the park, and there's no Gold, Silver, Bronze...its win or nothing.

I've got 5 levels to go, just got the BFG in the last level. I've missed this gun.

I struggle so bad to find the classic level lever secrets. Thankfully I'm getting all the doomguy figurines & runes that I wasn't finding earlier on.

Every level is just so big. It's great.
 
Is it a hard game? I feel like I'd get overwhelmed with so many baddies coming right at me and I'll die and turn it off.
