We're pretty lucky come to think of it.

I guess the song isnt as good as the od school ones, but you come to love hearing it after a win, and surely its the sweetest sound to hear late arvo on GF day, (no matter what version)

They used the traditional formula - american tune, solo in the middle, where we could have a highly cringeworthy Freo/GC type anthem, or worse still a mardi gras song like the other mob. Surely we have the best song of the expansion teams.

West Coast's is alright. Port & Freo both have truly awful, cringeworthy songs.

I still can't understand why they changed "mighty Adelaide Crows" to "known as the Adelaide Crows". Nobody, but nobody, sings the weaker version. The tune is a good one though.

It's sung to the Marine Hymn. Well established tune, we just added our own words.

I can't help but think it has something to do with honing in on the "Pride of South Australia bit." Ie, the Pride of SA is only known as the Adelaide Crows.

Go easy. Some people here are quick to blindly defend everything the club does, placing trust in those in charge just because they're in charge. I prefer TW13 to those people.

Surely if you go about not trusting those in charge, you get anarchy? I have no problems questionning authority but to do so on a daily basis for often petty reasons (known as < mighty) becomes very tiresome.

The Club and coach have certainly made mistakes over the years, but please tell me - which one hasn't? IF they keep making the same mistakes again and again, then absolutely call for heads to roll. It seems to me though, some people just get a mind-set then refuse to budge.

This vid sums it up.

A club giving 110% in all the nice areas, being summarily screwed over by everyone around them, and not being savvy nor angry enough to see it.

Look at our players in ths video. They gave 100%, but were beaten by a team with more mongrel who knew how to play right into the hands of three grossly incompetent umpires.

It sums us up as a club. Nice, honest, inoffensive, give 100%, ........and no cigar.

I see, add 1+1 and it equals 3. Like I said, name me ONE club or coach that doesn't make mistakes. 2010 was an absolutely shitful year for us - and if it recurs in 2011 I will be first in line demanding blood be spilled. But for now, I prefer to believe it was a one off catastrophe caused by a combination of bad management and bad luck, that will be (and is being) addressed. The proof will be in the pudding, as they say.

The ridiculous claims that the coach lost the players (after 6 losses), that the club song change has somehow weakened us as a club and that we've lost the hunger for innovation because we won't spend money are nothing more than third rate conspiracy theories and speculation at best.

Didn't you just answer your own question? That's what people are doing, and that's what they believe.

That's nice. No really.. it is.
I enjoy constructive debate. Neither his approach nor the one you dislilke above is that. I've taken pot shots at both types of posters and will continue to do so as that's MY opinion and how I like to express myself.
If you want someone to go easy i'd suggest you jump in with me and ask him to calm down a little
IMO based on his posting someone from the club MUST have done/said something to him personally to make him so bitter. That sucks if so, but I'd prefer it didn't keep spilling toxic posts into what could otherwise be reasonable debate.

As I said before mate I share many of your frustrations. I think you're more likely to be listend to if you just toned down the expression of those frustrations a little. Or like Jenny sometimes being labelled a 'suck-up' you're gonna get labelled... hmm something less pleasant I'd imagine. And then ignored.

We should really tap into the US for more supporters. They may not understand the rules but geez they would love the song when we win the game! Then they can all buy a guernsey and scarf! Surely we could get a few hundred thousand! ha ha
