you do realise that match was only a 20/20 match format right ? that's 40 minutes and 49 points in that is a good start for the lad.

I actually think Shaw could be a very good unique this year for a few reasons.

- Dont see upside/improvment in Deledio down back
- No other Collingwood players in the backs, so suits byes
- Everyone got burnt by him last year, thus aint touching him and becomes unique
- Only avg 80 so he has upside if he can learn to handle a tag or become a player who plays more on the wing
- Collingwood have premiums in every other postion except down back, will someone step up to that 90 premium avg down back from the pies and who might it be?? (If you look at the dogs, Stkilda, Geelong, Hawks and even Fremantle they have premiums in every position)

I wont be picking him, but he aint a bad pick at all.

Is there a reason it's that laughable?

He's averaged 80+ for the last 5 years (might not be good enough for some, but hey), and having had him in previous seasons, know that he's scored over 140 quite a number of times.

His random disaster games can burn a team like few others, but I don't think taking a punt on him is that crazy.

Mate, the point was the ridiculousness of the theory behind picking Simpson over Judd not the actual pick. The theory was wrong and most people that have a basic understanding of DT could understand this. For some reason, even though it's already been pointed out to you and clearly explained you can't.
