Some other idiot eagle supporter stated something along the lines of "happy for people to waste trades on cashing in rookies now" other people in the same thread stated they and many others were considering trading rookies in which i happened to be one of them. If you don't like my post forward express you know where the ignore button is. I find it amazing that you havn't already (forward) pressed it considering all your negativity.

Why dont you press ignore?

I don't think you understand the nature of the posts before you where they were debating the logic of trading out rookies now as Dr DT is contemplating. No one gives a crap if you want to turf out two rookies this round.

Not to mention the Hunt to Enright comment at the end. EDIT - and also the cash in your kitty. Who gives a shit?

I don't really care too much to place people on ignore. If you don't want me to question your posts then you can also place me on ignore.

And yet you're still here responding.

If you dont give a shit then you know what to do.

Clearly you do care because of your post.

This is a dreamteam board and i have been here a whole lot longer then you or any other newb has and i don't come on in march for people to tell me who to pick and who to trade. Your still yet to say what your team is, im not sure what your hiding? or worried about?

But by posting that terse reply and firing off a PM, you clearly give a shit about what I have to say. I thought it would be easy to place me on ignore without much fanfare.

I like how you pull out the 'newb' card as if me and everyone else here are DT idiots looking to a master like you for guidance and wisdom. The multiple aliases you've been forced to create should tell you what the rest of this board thinks about your constant need for self-gratification.

In response to you CONSTANTLY asking for my team, you're not getting it.

I likewise have only had one team for the past 2 years. Yes your on ignore but i can still see your post if i want to.

Its a pitty your football knowledge will hold you back from ever avg inside the top 150 with trades leftover

Through one of your 20 alias accounts no doubt.

Getting back on topic...

I see "Dr DreamTeam" didn't know the rules. The article was quickly changed when someone obviously let him/them know of the rookie mistake. Shame I didn't take a screen capture.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/134117/default.aspx

The text read (until they took out the 2nd & 3rd sentence):

“But I'm advising you not to go down this path. If you have already done the deed it's not too late to make amends. Press the 'Reverse' button, Ablett will reappear, and you can reassess.”

Yes, I saw that as well. Made me laugh with someone that is supposed to give such expert advice.

Ninja edits to articles like that are so dodgy. I am glad I showed it to someone and copy/pasted the text, otherwise I would have thought I might have imagined it.

(Granted we know the Dr Hack is dodgy anyway)

Good effort from this clown this week.

He has both Morris & Paine named as emergencies in the backline covering Hargrave and has no emergency on the forward line, yet he has Hall on the ground and Cameron on the bench.

I don't see how it's always the wrong move to cash in this round. If you have the personal belief that a rookie won't go up much more in price and that there's a rookie you MUST have *coughtreloarcough*, then short of an LTI to a premium or a stuttering mid-pricer, the logic is to trade.
So how is *coughtreloarcough* a "MUST" when he scores 63 points in a high scoring game against the bulldogs?

I'll reserve the term "must" for rookies who have a Barlow/Curnow type first year. So far Treloar is not even close to that, and it was interesting to note that Shiel, McDonald, and Greene all outperformed him.

Oh hey, an old post bumped with the benefit of hindsight.

The reasoning is sound if you really wanted to hop on Treloar. How did D Smith, A Kennedy, Hampton and co all go?

Edit - if you read my post I did originally mean the 'personal belief' that there's a rookie you MUST have. Sorry if I didn't clarify that more extensively.

actually thats incorrect. I have been completely against picking up Treloar well before this round got underway. The fact that he didnt set the world on fire just vindicates my arguement that there was no need to trade him in at the expense of other cash cows who havent peaked.

You still didn't address the rest of my post.

Look I don't want to get argumentative for the sake of being argumentative, but I reiterate my statement that if someone had the personal belief that he was a great rookie to have, then you may come out ahead if you dumped someone like an Adam Kennedy.

It's a gamble, sure, and not a 'sure thing', but I hope you understand why some cash cows may be acceptable to be culled at this stage.

Treloar's numbers won't be exceptional, he'll be a 65-70 ppg player as shown by his scoring last year and style of play. What he brings though is a level of rock solid job security where the only way he leaves the team is for a rest or through injury.

At this stage that's like gold with fwd rookies dropping like flies.

Dr Dream Team has gone gang busters this week. In his line up he's copping 3 doughnuts.

Sure he had bad luck with Hargrave, Porps and Birchall (porps ruined my week in other comps) much like others, however he had Hall in there and Jeremy Cameron on the bench and not as an emergency.

Was there some clairvoyency involved with him naming two Defender emergencies with Birchall and Hargraves going missing? hmm....
