Phillips got nothing and Buckley got an invite???? I understand Plymin's invite, he's the perfect build for a midfielder, although he isn't an out an out gun.... Buckley????? Strange!

Scotty Lockwood's also pretty unlucky..... Played all key positions and midfield this year, a real versatile player! Would really shine at a screening camp...

True, hard to understand.. Maybe clubs just arnt looking for someone small like Phillips. Buckley has had a reasonable season, been looking good in some 1st halfs but faded in the second. Was having a blinder against Murray in the 1st half but didnt get much of it in the 2nd. Good build though, he is quite an athlete and seems pretty committed to his footy, would have to give Matty Thomas a run for one of the fittest blokes down at dragons.

As for Scott Lockwood, good footballer but not good enough. Has a good grab above his head but fly's a little to much i'd say.. As for being versatile i'd disagree he suits the backline, didnt get much of it at all when he played through the midfield.

I dont know if there is an M Corrigan on the Sandringham playing list but on the official AFL list of those attending both the Draft camp and the Screening there is an M Corrigan under Sandringham players attending the Screening.

Younger brother of Paul (ex-Geelong), played in the Ammos and is with Sandringham Zebras in the VFL, not the TAC.

Is that AFL list you speak of posted anywhere? like the AFL website?
 
Simon Phillips is ripped off. It just goes to show how closed off some talent scouts minds in regard to small forwards and yet payers like milne and matera contiue to be goal kickers and thorns in other teams sides. Or is someone hoping to pick him up with a late pick and dont particularly need to see him at draft camp or screening.

I agree, Buckley is probably as fit as anyone at the club, but he often shows a lack of heart, like you said, late in games... What does fitness help if you don't push yourself when it counts?

I'm telling you now, the club that rookie's Phillips (presuming he doesnt get drafted) will promote him like a Davey n Lovett and he'll prove many wrong....

Aside from the carnival, if you had seen Simon Phillips play you'd know why he didn't get an invite.

Simon Buckley is an outside player, but has a few reasons why clubs would want a look further. I can understand him getting an invite.

Three are going to screening, that's all the Jets got. I presume they did but I am not sure if the Jets told their players yet so I won't post names, other than to say they are three players I like so that's a fair hint to those who know me.

Thought you would have known who got an invite anyway tiggy, you claimed to be a Jets player the other day.
