G'day guys and girls,

Firstly I am not a Tiger fan (Hawks supporter) but my old man is so basically watch every game and follow them very closely..

Your boys definately showed alot more improvement in this one year under Hardwick then in the whole 5 yrs under Terry's reign! Anyway, Just looking at players that got delisted and are still young enough to fit in with your model, I think Chris Johnson, former melbourne and carlton player who is 24 could be a real asset 4 u guys in defence.

This will allow you to push morton (lets face it the bloke is a 40 plus goals a year player) back upto the forward line to replace collins and Johnson who has a neat kick on him to go down back!

Then with either Houli or grig playing in the middle/wing/possible half back you guys begin to have a pretty quick team on your hands...

Obviously yoyr team is in rebuilding stage but i feel that picking up a few young matured minds (also beau msuton could be an option) who have been in the system can greatly improve your position for many years to come.

Good luck in 2011 and remember its not ur ladder position that counts next year its the experience your young players are learning and how the group begins to understand the new game plan and each others individual strengths that will set you up for a big 2012.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Dovetail: Being frustrated with the seeming unwillingness of my friends to high five I commissioned the use of the third party face palm or 'face five' as I like to call it (I didn't slap you, I merely high fived your face).

...high fives in 2 seconds flat every time now

But, to the point, Chris Johnson, nooo thanks

The answer to these type of suggestions is simple.

We are no longer the rabble that takes other clubs rejects and expects to compete with them

We are not good enough culture wise yet to raise a players ability to turn him into a player if another club can't.

chris johnson can kick, he was in and out of the carlton team due to injury and other reasons. arent we looking for players with neat disposal?

He might be able to kick, but it's the plethora of other things he is deficient at that will ensure his AFL career is finished.

He CANNOT kick. Carlton supporters will tell you. He is a great kick off the boot but it goes nowhere/straight to the opposition.
