While we got some good players I don't understand why we went for all talls/defenders. I hate to break it to the club but we're never going to win a flag with Stanton as our #1 midfielder.

very happy with both hurley and zaharakis as i rated them both in the top dozen. i was surprised players such as robinson, mckernan, cornelius dropped so much. was a little surprised with the selection of still but he does have big potential.

for me that last pick was disappointing but it was a late pick so can't expect much. tyson slattery is reported to be no relation on essendon website but he does look like him? i was hoping for another midfielder with that pick and i have big doubts about a small defender like tyson slattery.

we still have one more pick in the PSD and i'd be hoping we'd be looking at matt de boer and adam cockie. both have good attributes to be a midfielder. then also clancee pearce who i thought was a better player than slattery in same position

i have big doubts about a small defender like tyson slattery.

I wouldn't call him a small defender. He's 189cm tall and should provide us with good run out of defense.

Very good pick up at 67 IMO.

i'm not sure how much slattery will be able to offer, but the rest of the drafting seems ok...only time will tell

Talls take longer to develop and you can pile up on mids next year as the lions have done this year(after going KPP heavy for three years)..

Some of us lions fans were just as puzzled when we took Henderson over say Rioli.

Spot on, I'm pretty happy with the young midfield we have, we definitely needed KPP's.

I've already read a few saying we needed to get a player to replace Lloyd and Lucas already
At least they should shut up about Fletch and Michael for bit now..
