What cause he was suspended?
Seems alright

Later in the carnival showed he can clearly play midfield.
Different to Gresham but should be affective at the top level
Hard, courageous,
FIGJAM sniper.

Lindsay Thomas' attitude with Tom Bugg's elbows.

If we add Steele in the off season I think it is only fair we continue the trend of Canberrans in the red, white, black. For this reason I'll be choosing Tom Highmore as my boy from now on.

Many had him going as high as early 2nd round in their first phantom drafts attempts but has dropped off this year after suffering from glandular fever. Perfect size for a 3rd tall (189cm) and is strong overhead. Has been apart of the GWS academy and was runner up best and fairest of the Eastlake NEAFL side at just 17. With GWS having plenty of talent coming through the academy in this years draft I hope he slips through and we can nab him in the rookie draft.

What do you discount his footballing ability then?
Plenty of people can play footy. Dayle Garlett was a freaking gun...

I don't like Ainsworth, but that's a personal thing; I haven't ever since he smashed a kid's jaw behind play, but you can't deny he has a lot of ability.

That being said, he's short and not a particularly comfortable mid. He's not someone we need IMO.

If it's a form guide how the frack is Simpkin in there?!?! Also in fairness if it's about form shouldn't Rotham and Taranto be a little higher? Must admit I did not realise Scrimshaw was so big before reading that guide. 194cm, the blokes as tall as Roo!

It's a ranking more than a form guide, Marshall has done 4/5ths of f all compared to Battle and Kerr but is higher than them

I watched 2 games in the Championships and it looked like a lot of the Vic Metro lads that are rated highly were out there playing for themselves. Didn't think Battle did much for someone talked up a lot. not saying he isn't good or won't be good, just looked like a bunch of kids trying to make themselves look good. That's why I want Jonty; they moved him down back, threw him forward and got them a few goals and was good in the midfield. He's versatile and adjusts well quickly. Good skills always help as well.

Don't think his behaviour will be a concern for afl clubs
He will be fine
Brendon Goddard has aggression
Aggression is one thing. Sniping blokes is another.

I don't like him, that won't change. You're welcome to. :handsopen:

Apologies if I'm repeating what others have said, but being realistic at our pic, what are people's thoughts on Taranto? Based on the vision I've seen and all that I've read, he seems to be the best suited to our needs at the pick we are likely to have (ie. outside the top 5 or 6). A highly skilled mid/forward who averaged 20 disposals a game in the national champs, despite playing large percentages of games forward. The thing that strikes me as most attractive, though, is his vision and DE- look at the following videos and see how many times he chooses the right option or hits a target, which is exactly what we need as an outside mid/forward:

I like Scrimshaw as an alternative, while my other favourites (McCluggage, McGrath) appear unlikely to be around at our pick.

If we go to the draft with our pick, probably 8, 9, or 10, Taranto would be one of my favourites there. However we trade our pick and end up with late 1st or early 2nd, I would consider either Jye Simpkin. dependant on his recovery of course, or Willem Drew.

I thought Marshall was doing ok with the Bushrangers seems to be in the goal kickers each week.

I must say though I was impressed with Kerr at the champs. He looked like a similiar player to Paddy but perhaps with a tidier kicking style. Would be a solid 2nd round pick...

Jarrod Berry

Club: North Ballarat Rebels/Vic Country

Position: General defender

Size: 191cm, 80kg

DOB: 05/02/1998

Plays like: Corey Enright

The boy from Horsham excelled during last year’s carnival, winning All-Australian honours on a half-back flank after impressing as an intercept defender. According toChampion Data, Berry gained 314 metres per game and finished with an above average kick rating of +9.9%. Not only is he a brilliant intercept player, he can also provide hard run and drive off half-back, while his unique size and toughness means he can play on a variety of opposition forwards. A shoulder injury meant he missed out on the 2015 TAC Cup finals series, so he’ll want to hit the ground running in 2016.

The 31st of July saw the long awaited return of the North Ballarat Rebels' captain, Jarrod Berry. Jarrod has not played with the Rebels since their Round 6 win over the Oakleigh Chargers due to injuries and the NAB Under 18 National Championships where he captained Victoria Country.

His return match was a modest performance, 3 goal 4 behinds from 17 possessions 6 marks 4 tackles.

... it was nice to see the future St Kilda star back playing

Yeah OK Berry might be a go.

Has been very good down back, kicked 3.4 when swung forward. He could replace Gilbert as that "mostly half back but sometimes mid also sometimes forward" option.
