I'm on the Taranto/Florent bandwagon
Scrimshaw a close second

Macrae wasn't that great a risk
More a reach then a risk imo.He was a late bolter & wasn't considered a top 6 pick until after his performance in the tac granny. They also took a risk on Stringer after he missed a year with a badly broken foot.
Pick 10 and 2017 1st RP for pick 7, Steele and possibly some steak knives. If he was going to be available at 7 then it wouldn't necessarily be that hard, but if we needed to move higher than that then we'd really have our work cut out and it almost certainly won't happen, IMO.

That would only work if GWS thought they'd have a player bidded on before pick 7 though you would think.
Package was a real riskHe was a late bolter & wasn't considered a top 6 pick until after his performance in the tac granny. They also took a risk on Stringer after he missed a year with a badly broken foot.
Looking at GWS's draft picks with consideration to trading out McCarthy, Marchbank (with steak knives) & Steele & wanting to trade up to pick 1, we could really pressure them by bidding on their acacady kids to the point they can't / won't take them all.
GWS currently have picks 7, 16, 17, 32, 34, 54 & 70.
I think they will trade Marchbank & a few fringe types plus pick 16 to Carlton for pick 5. Then bundle 5 & 7 for pick 1.
They will likely get a future 2nd for Steele as we don't have a 2nd this year.
McCarthy is a broken biscuit & likely fetches them freo's third - pick 39.
Pick 1 they will take McGrath & then they have picks 17, 32, 34, 39, 54 & 70 or a total draft points of 2869 to get Perryman, Setterfield, Mccreadie & Mutch.
Let's say we bid on Perryman at 10, Setterfield at 11, Mutch at 12 & McCreadie at 13. With their discount they would need 4168 points to match those bids....that's 1300 extra points they would need to make up.
Even better if a club bids on one of Setterfield or Perryman with an early pick...then we take the other with pick 10.
Unlikely this plays out but it's something to consider. I'd be very happy to have either of Setterfield or Perryman at 10.
Mate of mine son plays at Sandy Dragons and reckons Setterfield has been terrible this year. He rates about 4 ahead of him.
Hes been a bit of a let down but the talents there. Who's he rate ahead of him?
McGrath?
McGrath?
Taranto definitely better than Scrimshaw.
But Scrimshaw has that size and play to be something special
Yeah I know he'll go really high, I was just reminding Hayes4PM, who didn't mention him in his first 4 from Sandy.
This would be the order I'd have for us going into the draft
McLuggage
McGrath
Taranto
Brodie
Ainsworth
SPS
Scrimshaw
Then throw a blanket over Vennables, Florent, Berry, Simpkin and Galluci
I know some dragons players including some who played yesterdayMate of mine son plays at Sandy Dragons and reckons Setterfield has been terrible this year. He rates about 4 ahead of him.
