Knightmare rates this kid at #25 he sounds good does anyone know much about him?

25. Benjamin Ronke (VIC)
Best position:
Inside midfield/general forward
Height, weight: 181cm, 75kg
Recruited from: Calder Cannons
Plays like: Luke Shuey
Projected draft range: late/rookie
Rated last month: unrated
Rationale behind ranking/change of ranking:Excellent second half to the TAC Cup season where strong production and explosive speed and contested-ball winning stood out. Rapid rate of improvement demonstrated. Finished in Calder's best in his last seven games and was listed as Calder's best player in five of his last six games. Late season he played two VFL games and at that level also held his own.
Strengths:
- Contested-ball winning
- Wins high proportion of ball in the contest
- Wins first possession at stoppages
- Explosive acceleration
- Breaks away from stoppages
- Tackling - Chase-down tackling
- Energy around the contest
- Gives second and third efforts
- Athleticism
- Rate of improvement and standard of performance through second half of season
- Held his own against VFL standard competition
- Scoreboard impact (19 goals from 15 TAC Cup games and two goals from two VFL games)
- Kicks goals from stoppages and on the move
- Can play forward
Weaknesses:
- Inconsistent footskills
- Does not find much easy outside ball

I wouldn't mind putting Kade Answerth on our rookie list either. Had a very good year at Sandy and still a kid.

Armo is 185cm. I'm not 100% sure on Freezer but he'd be around 181/182cm. I remember the first time I was introduced to him just before last trade period I was shocked at his height and weight, I had an impression from afar that he was a bigger body, which he's not. He's like a leaner Jack Steven.
I think the last I heard Gresh was 177 so he's not as tiny as some make out.
Ross is 187, JB would be at least 186 and putting on weight quickly.
And our monster is Acres, 192cm + and just about ready to enter beast mode.

Acres, Gresh, JB and Paddy will be elite in the coming years, (Gresh is an early call I know but it has been a while since I've seen a 1st year player play like he did this year). JB just needs a clear run and he'll explode whereas you can see Blake and Paddy coming - we are all waiting for them to take the team on their backs and say (metaphorically) - follow me!!! Very exicted about the whole team but especially those 4

Ross Steele and Acres provide some height to our midfield, Armitage and Stevens some grunt. I like it...starting to take shape

What about Brandon White, have you heard if he's grown since arriving? Looked taller than 188cm to me when I saw him play live in R23. And of course then there's Old Man Roo. Surely he's at least an inch taller than 193cm?

I've heard Fisher compared to Lachie Neale, is that a good comparison do you think?

One good thing about our recruitment this year is that it means we can pick the best available and not be worried about size.

lachie neale was better inside i reckon

I've seen freeze a few times up close and he looks way bigger than say dunstan for example

Seriously good player will make recruiters look stupid when he finally gets a chance. Whilst his kicking lets him down it's not as bad as made out. Nickname is me September and was Sandra best players of the finals ahead of players like Templeton and Shelton for a 19/20 year old that's pretty impressive. Also to Finnish second in the bnf is something remarkable. He is a mix of Andrew swallow and Luke ball with an elite character

His tackling could be elite. Pace and skills a question mark. Poor man's Wright?

ackling is elite and he's much more a midfielder then wright not as strong overhead though
For some perspective in like his 5th VFL game second for zebras against Collingwood (so AFL players ) he had 31 disposals 10 tackles and two goals and was bog

It would be nice to see a home grown talent given a chance. In the past I believe sometimes the club and recruiters have overlooked Sandringham players they could have taken (perhaps because they see so much of them). I dont think anyone would be disappointed hearing Kade Ainswerth named called out on draft night.

Enables at 23 and SPP at 36 would give us serious explosive power in the midfield, but I'll be very happy with any 2 of Venables SPP Rotham Galluci Maibaum

Pick 23. Maybe Jy SImpkin, Josh Rotham, ShaI Bolton, Jarrod Berry, Sam Powell Pepper, and hopefully a slider will be available.

Pick 36. Maybe Brennan Cox, Dylan Clarke, Brandon Parfitt, Brodie Romensky, or Jack Maibaum may be available.

Pick 61. Any of Kayle Kirby, Oskar Junker, Quentin Narkle, Ben Long or Declan Watson may still be available.

There will always be sliders as well.

Who would you like to see us pick up?

Quentin Narkle any relation to this campaigner?

If so then get him.
