Last season Marcuz and a few others were really keen on a few blokes (Tenace & Dyson notably). Anyone really keen on anyone who we might be a chance to get this time around ? and why ?

I think last season it was evident that we needed quick midfielders so it was easy to pigeonhole players and keep an eye on them.

This year, other than probably a tall back and maybe a proven ball winner we have a pretty even spread across our list so it was a bit harder to keep an eye on a player and suggest that Essendon is a good chance of drafting him.

The added fact that this is such an even draft makes it even tougher to predict who we might take.

I do like Matt Little from Calder though. Good strong hands, could evolve into a bit of an Aaron Hamill type if he is able to bulk up. Being the cousin of Jimmy H might help him to Essendon, can already see Sheeds beating the publicity drum.

A key defender would be nice, anybody that will develop into a decent CHB/FB should be a priority.

From what ive seen this year which has not been much as i've only seen a few falcons games i rate Jordan Lewis very highly. He is very much a "sheedy" type, tough and hard at it.

Renwick Watts is a kid who i rate as a genuine smokey. He has some rough edges to iron out of his game but the talent is there to make him a very exciting prospect. Will most likely go late or be rookied.

Agree on this. In 3 years, when you'd hope the draftee is ready for senior footy, Fletch will likely be gone and we'll have a massive hole in defence - we were even light on for KP defenders this year with him.

I'm not desperate for a quick midfielder or ruckman at all, though of course if they were the best available you'd take them.

2 KPPs, 1 other strong defender type and a quick midfielder. 2 can be pure athletes. Meyer and Willits sound OK.

Don't know enough about the players to comment further.

Leave last pick for the PSD which might just be another youngster.

No thanks.

Like your first two, don't know a lot about Sherman but I just don't see Betts becoming a good AFL player.

Flash in the pan type, ala Shane Harvey and David Rodan.

At pick 62 i think we can afford a flashy type player. No loss to the club if he fails publicity or money wise. But if he comes off we get another Brent Harvey or a Jeff Farmer type... Personally from what ive seen of him he could be the most tallented purley football ability mind victorian player in the draft.

I'd rather use 62 to find a young/bottom age Key Position player and give him time to develop.

Betts is a rookie draft player at best.

new midfeild, the 2 johno's are getting old.. and by the time there gone, the new midfeild will b strong and ready for the big league..preferebly a player from cannons midfeild.
