i don't think that we could have got campbell brown as he never really wanted to play for the eagles.
yeah that could've been the case but in the end the player doesn't have the final say as to where he gets drafted. If he came, he may have enjoyed it, he may not have.

i'm glad that we didn't end up with Brendan Fevola or Andrew Krakouer. Andrew might end up OK but Fevola is a head case.
Andrew Krakouer is a gun, and considering he was picked up at 41 by Richmond, there is an absolute bargain.
Agreed Fevola is a bit of a head case - If I had of done this exercise at the same time last year, theres no chance I would've gone with him but he's come along leaps and bounds this year.
thegur - I know that some of the picks I chose may have been pre-chosen by clubs, but I had no idea about this as there were no notes on the AFL web-site, so I just picked them as I saw.
drexel - I would've thought a lot of those players would be great additions to our squad. As above, imagine Krakouer, Sampi and Phil Matera working together at ground level - there isn't one small defensive brigade in the AFL that would get close to keeping them in check. The Lonie twins, particularly Ryan, have proven to be great runners of the half back line, something that only David Wirrpunda seems to be giving us at the moment.
Ash McGrath and Campbell Brown add some real small man toughness. I liken to McGrath to Phil Read, except only he is a better footballer, and if you threw in Adam Ramanauskas to our already sensatoinal midfield, then the opposition would spend most of the day chasing leather. The most dissapointing thing about missing out on Rama is that we picked up Brandon Hill with that pick who never played a game with us, while Rama has all the potential to be a multiple All Australian.
Plus the depth of the squad - When you can't even find a spot for Dion Woods, Chad Morrison, David Spriggs, Mark McGough, Phil Read or Jarrad Schofield in your strongest 22 then you know you've done something right.
