19. Lucy or Spangher (or a mid if we get Kennedy at 7)
39. Neagle
51. No idea.....hopefully a player that we rated highly slips down to this pick like Dyson did in 03. Not keen on Heffernan at this pick, we have two PSD picks so might as well use one of them on Heff.

19. lucy/sppangher/thomas depending on 1st pick.
39. neagle
51. heffernan/matt white if hes still in

De-listed Demon and former Essendon Premiership player Chris Heffernan has been granted permission by the AFL to commence training with the Bombers next Monday. Essendon is considering picking up 26-year-old Heffernan in the upcoming national or pre-season draft - three years after he was traded to Melbourne in exchange for selection 10 (Jason Laycock).
And the Bombers are also seriously considering picking up former Hawthorn player Steven Greene. Greene will also commence training with Essendon next Monday and coach Kevin Sheedy is considering giving him a second chance at AFL level.
"I think he has a bit of quality about him and he averaged about 15 possessions per game with Hawthorn. I have always held him in high regard and I certainly like his running ability," Sheedy said.

Three other players have been given permission to train with Essendon - Jordan Doering, Bendigo Bombers, Ashley Eames, Springvale and Michael Rix, Coburg. Bendigo Bomber Kain Robbins was given permission to train with Hawthorn
i would love Greene Sheedy will turn him into a superstar

whirl said:the actual trade was Heffernan plus our first round pick for pick #10 iirc so it wasn't that cheap.
I don't know, but I would say that's still a bargain for what Laycock could be.Longy413 said:It wasn't our first pick. It was Brisbane's.
Pick 17 (which then became 15 after the Carlton penalties). We got it in the Caracella deal.
So it was effectively, Heffernan and Nick Smith for Laycock.
