Given that we have struggled finding a second power forward avenue to goal throughout seasons 2008/2009 and everyone is crying out about the lack of quality KPP in this draft ..

I think we should take a late punt on Serhat Temel from the Calder Cannons.
194 cms - a good contested mark .... and he kicked 8 goals in the 2nd half against Nth Ballarat yesterday !!

He has been invited to the state screebing and he needs to improve his footy smarts and mobility - but if we snaffle him with a late pick, surely we should back our development team? if he tests well enough

Also .. he supports Besiktas .. so some clubs may hold that against him.

HIGH-flying Cannons forward Serhat Temel booted eight goals in the second half to help destroy North Ballarat Rebels by 97 points in yesterday's elimination final at Visy Park.

The 194-centimetre Temel has had a break-out month in the TAC Cup, putting his name in lights heading into this year's AFL draft period.

Cannons coach Martin Allison was full of praise. "He's a likely prospect," Allison said. "He's been good in the last few weeks. Hopefully the recruiters are taking notice.''

The power forward has been used sparingly in defence this season.

With his size he is worth a late pick surely. We have stacked up on the running type players lately in drafts and lets now get a few big blokes on the list

besiktas colours are black & white and most besiktas supporters are collingwood fans.

bulldogs are suppose to be really into him, so the blues will need to react before they do presume a 3rd round pick if the rumours are correct.

Is Cleve Hughes worth picking up late in the draft ?

He has just been delisted by Richmond, clearly he was always going to struggle now with the emergance of Jack Riewoldt and Mitch Morton.
He was a former fairly high draft pick (pick 24) who I think showed 'glimpses' of potential and form throughout his short career at Richmond (snagged 6 goals in one game)
He is a tall key position foward, and still only 22 years of age, I honestly think we should consider using our fifth/sixth or PSD draft pick on him, admittedly there is a lot of downside to him as well, he spent several games this year at Coburg reserves (I think more due to poor attitude then anything)

Considering his age, and a former highly rated draft pick, and the fact Key Possie fowards are very hard to find in the draft, I think he is worth consideirng ...

I saw his potential in one game but we don't have much luck with recycled players in recent years. He would be a rookie proposition at best.
