Ok this is based on what we did last year and essentially what Richmond just did this year.

Fremantle or any club should be using the prelisted players agreement to benefit themselves and in turn GWS.

Basic example we provide GWS with some mature players and in exchange swap some draft picks around say our pick 16 with their pick 5.

Then we ask them to prelist a player and exhange the picks back.

You could eventually end up with same draft picks but have swapped players around?

First thought people will have is that you why dont you just bulk swap them in beginning but my understanding is each prelisted player must have its own deal.

Is this draft tampering?

I'm pretty sure you can just trade pre-listed players for current players.

So in your other example you could just trade Bradley for Horsley

What I want to know if come a year or two from now if two or more of the likes of O'Meara, Coniglio, Bennell, Matera, whoever are out of contract and looking to return to WA will WC and Freo work towards a gentleman's agreement or a bidding war... Obviously whoever has the first PSD pick has the upper hand in that regard, but would be interesting to see a handful of players wanting to return to WA and both clubs suspiciously only offering picks in the 20s... :)

Free agency will likely affect any trades with these types. They'll go where they want, really.
