Over the last couple of weeks I have watched a couple of tapes of North Adelaide's games. One KPP that has caught my eye somewhat is Adam Grocke. Here is his profile from norths page

In the games that I have watched he has played as a forward and has done some very good things. He marks the ball well and is good at ground level. According to North Adelaide's website, Adam is 19 years old. He is a good size for a keyforward (193 cm / 85 kg) but will have to build up to play AFL footy.

Being a curious as I usually am, I checked around about Grocke's prospects of getting drafted this year. My source tells me he is a potential late 1st round draft pick or early 2nd rounder. Apparently he is also capable of playing in defence. Assuming that we will have later picks in every round, could this bloke be on our wish list come drafting time??????

My source also tells me that Adam Cooney from West Adelaide is a dead set top 10 draft pick if he doesn't sustain a major injury. I have reported before on Cooney, and the kid certainly has some class and is a solid build for a tall midfielder.

Now lets search for a ocal ruckman!!!!!!:D

Pretty optimistic to think that the Crows won't trade out of the early draft again, isn't it? :)

Talk about selective memory. It wasn't that long ago that you banned noddy for not being productive on Port board. Sounds to me its OK for you to come a be negative on our board but if some of us are making similar sort of comments on your board we get a ban.:p

BTW, what would you take for Damon White??????

I wouldn't have thought that was a negative; just a comment on Adelaide's usual draft time practice. It mostly works for them, so good luck.

As for Damon, no idea. He's still an unknown....if you just want a competent young ruckman, you'd do well to talk with Melbourne for Jamar, I'd reckon. He's probably excess with Jeff White and Jolly there.

I still reckon Damon is a quality youngster with loads of talent. I f he can stay injury free, he could be a star for you guys at either end of the ground. With Chad, Tredrea and White, you would have the best 3 talls combination in the land. Would you take 2nd round draft pick for him?????? :D

As for Jamar, I have said it before that we should really go after him as his opportunities at Melbourne will be limited. He has got the ability to be one of the premier ruckman of the future in the AFL.

Absolutely no doubt this kid will got top ten (and I'd guess top 5).

got told about him earlier this year from a friend, so started to look out for him. Hes tough as nuts (took a guy out V Centrals [fairly]), can get the ball, and knows what to do with it.

I think this would have been a good year for SA teams to finish in the bottom four. Josh Willoughby from Glenelg would be right up there too.

I think we in SA should come to a mutual agreement to shut the **** up about how good these local kids are going to be.

Hopefully that way we can slip them under the Victorians guards (who are generally too busy salivating over over inflated kids playing in an underage comp).

Then the week befor the draft, Steven Trigg and Bucky Cunningham can toss a coin for the right to choos Cooney or Willoughby

What do you think ?

For the LAST FARKING TIME, noddy was not banned for not being productive. He was banned for REPEATED outright abuse and name-calling. OK!!?? NOT for having a negative tone to his posts. NOT for 'not being productive' (where you got that one from I will never know).

It seems to me Stiffy, that YOU are in fact the one being hypocritical here, for criticising a perfectly reasonable post from Porthos (containing NO abuse, NO name calling, and at the very most a humourous little dig). Even bringing up noddy's ban all these months down the track is poor form. For god's sake man, grow up!

And on Damon White - it's too early in the year to say. He could do anything. Talk to us in October.

Settle down, Pred. This is their board.

I have actually seen him play a couple of times last year before U18s national chamionships and he showed some promising sign then. He has matured considerably in the past year. Adam would have been drafted last year if he was eligable. He is a certain top 10 pick IMHO. Great size, beautiful skills, decent pace, good work ethic. His hair need a bit of work :p but overall his football abiility is great.

I have heard some rave review on Josh but haven't seen him play yet. It appears as a pretty good year as far as draft prospect that are from SA. We should feature prominently in this years draft

I wish it is as simple as that. Clubs have thier scouts all over the country and certainly at SANFL matches. AFC tried to keep quite about Cameron Faulkner last year hoping he would be available when we had our first pick, but Bulldogs had their eye on him for quite a while, even tho he missed a lot of footy through injury. Similar thing with Will Minson young ruckman from norwood. We had our eye on him but Bulldogs beat us to him. He played only 3 games in U17s last year the rest he played at Sacred Heart. These days you will find scouts at high school matches.

It would be great if Crows and Port could get Cooney and Willoughby but unless something unthinkable happens during the draft, I don't like our chances.:(

Will Minson went to St Peters, Stiffy.

Porthos, i know i said previously that i would not mention the ban again but could you please advise that very nasty comrade of yours from Tokyo that i was banned for "excessive negativity & general trolling" as your pm so stated, not for as he said "outright abuse & name-calling"

St Peters -> Western Bulldogs = culture shock, no? :D

There was a certain degree of tongue in cheek in my comment (in fact 100% tongue in cheek). Perhaps I should learn to use smilies :)
