I would trade Geelong's Physical Conditioning department for ours (less Monty of course)
Their guys seem to muscle up quicker than ours and maintain good stamina.

Nice thought, but I doubt it. Sheehan has rated him top two or three, but it depends what the clubs are after as well.

He just doesn't have the form on the board, thanks to injury. He's been playing APS league when he has played, and i can speak from experience, its over rated. I wouldn't be picking players from there performances in that league.

Would anyone consider trading Pick 5 for Brock Maclean. Melbourne would then have the 2 high draft picks to secure Judd.

I would even sweeten the deal (if melbourne fell for it) and throw in one of McMahon, Power or Gia.

McLean is one player that I would trade pick 5... he would be a good fit for us but I think Melbourne would class him in the 'untouchables'. If Judd pick Melbourne they would be trying trade other before Maclean.

The fact is that the players on our list are actually good players with good skills. What we lack is intensity, hardness and something that we have had in the last few years but not had this year, risk taking. The best part about Geelong today, was the risks that they took. I never saw any player back down from a single contest. We have a similar skill level to Geelong's as demonstrated by the two games we played against them last year. We played at the same level as them in both games and both teams were brilliant both times.
We need to do what Geelong did, take a good hard look at ourselves and the players need to prove to themselves how good they are. We don't need to be involved in blockbuster trades to make ourselves a better team, we only need an improved mindset or to bring in some kids with the right mindset.

Farren Ray Would probobly not be traded anywhere except to perth and only if he asked to. If he were to go to the bombers I would be interested in Stanton or Gumbleton. Ray was pick 4 in the draft and now has 50 games experience. I doubt he would move to the Bombers, but this would be what we would ask for.
Pretty Unrealistic anyway.

I would like to keep him. If the club decided to trade other clubs need to consider he was a #4 pick and we have developed him for four years. I reckon he is not far away from being a good player for us. Would want a first round pick which you probably won't want to give up anyway.

I said realistic. Those 2 players are worth much much more than Farren Ray. Gumbleton was taken no 2 in the "superdraft" last year and has enormous potential to become a star player whilst Stanton has become an established, consistant player for us and is one of our best if not the best midfielder we have and is a very very good young player and is a much much better player than Ray, BTW Stanton averaged 23.4 disposals a game this year whilst Ray only managed to average 15.2 disposals a game. I know he was taken at pick 4, but he's not worth as much as you'd like anymore because he hasn't really established himself as a consistant good midfielder yet after being on the list for 4 years.

Because i was curious on what you'd want for him (realistically).
I didn't know what to expect which is why i asked, but something realistic would have been nice, eg. Bradley and a 2nd rounder for Ray. I would rate Prismall and Ray about the same, yet people seem to think that Prismall is only worth a 2nd rounder, Why is this? Is it because you overate Ray and think he's worth more than he is just because he was taken earlier in the draft than Prismall who was taken much later?

BTW, could you tell me why you think Ray is better than Stanton please? Thanx mate

What the hell has Bradley done? Ray has been almost BOG in a final and is worth a first rounder easily.

Bradley hasn't done that much because Sheedy persisted with him down back when he was clearly no good and looked quite shocking there, but recently (this year) was moved into the forward line in the 2's and ended up winning the B&F and played quite a few games where he had 25 disposals, 15 marks and 4 goals ect. When Sheedy did play him forward this year at AFL level (rd 22) he managed to get 12 disposals and a goal playing at Half forward off about 50-60% gametime.

Sure Ray may have came close to being BOG in a final and shows what he is capable of, but does he do it consistently week in week out? Bradley and Ray have done a few good things, except Ray has probably just done a little bit more but Bradley is starting to come good after the move, and because Ray is ahead of Bradley at this stage i would add a 2nd round pick to even things up.

Ricky Dyson has came close to being BOG in a few games aswell and has showed how much potential he has (like Ray) but they don't do it consistently which is what you need from a player.

Ray would probably be worth a late 1st rounder IMO (10-16).

Winning a Reserves B & F is almost a negative for a 1st Rd Draft Pick. Bombers were desperate for a bit of help for Lucas and Lloyd in the forward line and still didn't promote Bradley till the 11th hour. Bradley is like Meesen from the Crows - average footballers who are only attracting interest cause they were drafted in th top 10.
