Draft Turnaround

Im intrigued guys, alot seem to have turned from being pro Moody first pic to pro Surjan first pic? I'm curious as to why?

I know Moody had a great year in 2002 but in 2003 for some reason he lost the plot, injuries, disinterest etc. I think Fremantle are looking for an in and under player and Surjan certainly fits the bill ahead of Moody.

For me, Moody has silky smooth skills but an attitude that says born to be drafted. Has had it a bit easy with accolades since last year. I think it has come through a bit in his football this year. Plus he seems to have boxed himself into a forward role, and in reality, smaller forwards aren't as valuable.

Surjan is small, but a goer and quick. In an ideal world I'd like them both but rsomehow give Moody a bit of a rude awakening as to what it is going to take for him to succeed on the big stage.

Hrmm I am still pro moody.
I am just scared now of another Andy Mcleod incident, we look at a kid that seems uninterested with huge potential.
We take someone more dedicated but less skillful and overlook another star because hes got a ear ring.........

You've got to be joking seriously sabre? Although i like Moody and think he is a good player I honestly don't see him being a superstar in the making...simply because he is too soft. Getting him away from his old man would be a great start though...complete head****

I wasnt comparing him to Mcloed.
I was comparing him to the incident (well the rumor).
Neesham didnt like his attitude and overlooked his abilities.

C"mon Sabre you gotta be joking,don't you think we have moved on and vastly improved our ability to select our draft picks.
It is done as a group now not just the whim of one person.
I don't know which of the two we will take but there is a fair amount of good oil on Surjan.
I don't think that either one of the kids would be expected to be the answer to our in and under problem in their first year.They would be taken as long term prospects.Same as The Hammer,only thing with him was that he demanded to be selected in our first 22 due to performances in the WAFL.
Maybe one or both of the kids named may step up as Hammer has done.

Ive never been pro moody but i think the last couple of weeks proved to us that we dont really need a flanker rather a good quality ball winner
