It may well be a smoke and mirrors tactic by usI agree there is something about McKay that tells me hes not going to make the grade. We must get these two picks right.

If he's available at 9 he will be a Crow.SANFL FB page interviewed Milera who reveals we've shown very strong interest in him.
Not surprising, but worth a mention
I think it was Richmond.Which was the club that took forever to announce their picks last year? Was it Freo?
The crowd should start slow clapping during the wait.

I agree with this, and his exposed form isn't enough to go on.I'm desperately hoping that our apparent interest in Mackay is just Nobes and co putting out a smoke screen to try and get Carlton to take him at 8. Apart from not being a need, 200 cm players are just to high a risk of failing to take at a top 10 pick.
Essendon have been talking up the need to pick players to help them score more and support daniher as well as allow hooker to settle down back againI can see Burton going to the Suns
Looks like a lock, doesnt he? If available...If he's available at 9 he will be a Crow.
Essendon might throw this out I thinkOk I'll have a final crack at the top 12 excluding Academy picks.
1. Weitering (Carl)
2. Schache (Bris)
3. Oliver (Melb)
4. Francis (Ess)
5. Parish (Ess)
6. Ah Chee (GC)
7. Weideman (Melb)
8. Curnow (Carl)
9. Milera (Adel)
10. Burton (Carl)
11. Rioli (Rich)
12. H McKay (Adel)
That top 7 is locked in (Essendon might pick those two the other way around, but that really makes no difference).
8-12 is completely unpredictable, with the most likely of all of those selections being Milera to us at 9, which will likely have the flow-on effect of Richmond taking Rioli.
I really think those other 3 picks are likely to be Curnow, Burton and H McKay (2 to Carlton and one to us), but the order of those is anyone's guess.
You never know though. Maybe a Balic or Tucker gets thrown in there to shake things up. Or maybe Melbourne pass on Weideman. Perhaps Essendon have a last minute change of heart and take someone other than Parish. Maybe Carlton or us take Collins. Who knows really. Enjoy the night everyone.
burton or Curnow?comments by nobes makes me feel we arent after him at all
He's stated that he doesn't want to be drafted by an interstate club
Had a dream last night that we got Milera and Burton, probably just from reading this rubbish late at night. I had a similar dream that we drafted Crouch and Battersby a couple of years ago though.
the crows love and rate Mckay highly , it aint no smokescreen. Our rating of him pre carlton holding pick 8 was obviousI'm desperately hoping that our apparent interest in Mackay is just Nobes and co putting out a smoke screen to try and get Carlton to take him at 8. he's too short or too mobile?I agree there is something about McKay that tells me hes not going to make the grade. We must get these two picks right.
Burton.burton or Curnow?
Why would Nobes be this open about him if we were really into him?Head of football David Noble said the Crows have done their homework on Burton and given him the medical all-clear.
This included examining his body and medical records at last month’s AFL draft combine and watching him undertake a special medical test, alongside fellow key forward draft prospect, Victiorian Sam Weideman, in Melbourne last Wednesday.
“We’ve certainly done our homework on all of those (injured) guys,’’ Noble said.
“Ryan, being a local, and having had a bad injury we’ve looked at him very closely and cleared him medically.
“We’ve done our due diligence and he’s on our (prospective draft) list.’’
double bluffBurton.

Burton.

so much mysteryBurton.

Walker in all Aussie squad, Lynch most goal assist in comp and Jenkins nearly 50 goals. If that is desperately needing a key forward then god knows what we call our midfield needs.the crows love and rate Mckay highly , it aint no smokescreen. Our rating of him pre carlton holding pick 8 was obvious
we desperately need a key forward as not many apparent key fwds next year but they are known to appear in their 18th year
h McKay v milera will go down to the wire for us if both available
