You really do struggle to get the point in discussions, don't you.
No ....i just fail to get your points a lot of the time ....but that's ok, we all don't have to agree ...just be careful how forcefully you make your point

Don't get the Hibberd hate? Has a great leg (need) some decent breakaway speed (need), good inside/outside balance (need), apparently is a very dedicated footballer, is versatile and by all reports had a great combine. Why is everyone now saying no?

I would rookie list Brad Hartman, was delisted during the year by Geelong, SA boy massive talent, made a few mistakes, was as good as Wingard as a kid, state basketball background, worth a second chance, Great player for Sturt before Geelong drafted him, don't think he handled away from home.
Did he play the whole rest of the season for Sturt?

No hate here ......just Meh & not a pick 9 or 13 for us ......not a need for us, doesn't mean he's nota good footballer

Reminds a bit of Andrejs Everitt ......never understood why every club he's been at wants to jettison him .....Carlton rumored keen to trade him in recent trade period ??

You've missed his number one trait - contested marking

He has the ability to take a big pack mark floating in against KP players at either end

Yes I forgot about this. Another need of ours, now that Danger is gone.

Yeah each to their own I guess. Interesting that you think he's not a need though, what makes you say that? IMO we need to improve in all the areas in which he excels.

His highlights package didn't seem to reflect this. He does dinky kicks which may hit a target at under age level but won't cut it at afl.

Just on highlights videos, can anyone remember a rubbish draft highlights video where the player turned out to be a star? Or the opposite; crazy highlights video, delisted after 2 years.

Keen to see them.

Also no one rates Snelling - 15 SANFL league games as a kid, not many juniors done that, Mickan rates him, Premiership player, U18 Captain in a good SA side, All Australian, I think he's gone under the radar.

Nooooooo to Hartman, no no no!!! Played with and against him and he's about as lazy as I've seen from a country level player let alone SANFL, then let alone AFL... He's dust

His kicking action isn't quite smooth enough, but that can be fixed. Other than that, he hits a lot of targets, and can get a good 55m on his kick, too.

Going forward. What our recruiting department needs to do now, is to assist Carlton to achieve the best drafts possible. As they are our feeder club, we need to identify players we need and encourage them to draft so that we can get from them in the coming years.

I think that he came back during the start of the season and I think he played most of his games in the reserves for Sturt this year.
I thought I heard that he headed back to Murray Bridge or somewhere for a while

If he was that good someone wouldve rookied. Ie. Ryan Burton
Didn't get any chance to prove himself, according to reports. Also a fast improver this year, a la Bonts.

I'm not saying he's Weitering/Parish level, I just think he'll be a very good player who suits our needs.
