Polec is the player we are looking for and is very much on the short list of players we are looking at, Gorringe, Polec, Harper and Atley are the players we will be short listing, Tom lynch is a Dark horse.

The player we pick must have elite kicking skills, Atley is the only player that has good foot skills but not elite.

Lol Luke you are getting Polec confused with Smith. Smith is the clearance king with decent skills and super quick, plus can break a tackle.

Polec is more pure outside runs 20m and kicks 60.

People need to realise that there won't be any mids as good as Cotchin or Martin available to us in this draft and in fact we'd be very lucky if we found one even half as good as them....(you really want that, then trade some quality and picks for a GC kid or at least one of their first 2-3 picks )what we'll get is *merely* a kid who'll hopefully be an upgrade on the likes of Tuck, Jackson, White and Edwards...which will be more than good enough, but let's get too carried away about what's on offer...

You will still get a gun kid just not someone who could take the league by storm as Martin and Cotchin could unless we are really lucky. We really just need someone that can rise to the ilk of a Joel Corey for example, which is not out of reach for a top ten pick.

i agree were not going to be getting a star like martin or cotchin, but were going to get more than an upgrade on one of those players, we have pick 6 not 16.

i dont think there is a single man,woman,child,dog & cat thats got any association with the richmond football club that wouldnt want him.

Charger Gaff running hot

OAKLEIGH Chargers midfielder Andrew Gaff is considered a top-10 draft prospect after racking up 41 disposals in the thrilling two-point win over Sandringham Dragons in an elimination final at Princes Park yesterday.
Gaff, who is part of the AIS squad and plays school football for Carey Grammar, has had limited matches for the Chargers this season but his skills have made him one of the most wanted in the draft lead-up.

Such an interesting draft. Will Toy get traded, our 6 + second rounder and player (McGuane) - rated as good as Dusty, or better!!!!!! Will Day slide to the first Melbourne / Adelaide club - Us.

Josh Toy is contracted to GC but never actually left Victoria to play with them.
The only games he has played for them are a few scattered ones throughout the year but all in victoria.

He is still living in Victoria finishing year 12 and playing school footy (Essendon IIRC), The rumor is that now it's coming down to the crunch and it's time for him to think about packing his bags, he is having second thoughts and wants to stay in Victoria.

I must say though, the first I heard of this rumor was on another Richmond board so obviously is has zero credibility but Toy's situation does create a unique opportunity none the less.
