I reckon players coming off injuries slide for example Lever/Shcarenberg/Stringer (to a lesser extent) etc... They had the talent/attitude to be picked higher but clubs didnt want to take the risk. I would say they slid to their picks. In the case of Stringer, WB having 2 picks back to back reduced the risk. If they had only had 1 pick, would they have risked it?
I'm being to severe when I say "sliders" don't exist, they probably do but are rare. It's where a player rated in phantom draft predictions is passed over by multiple pro recruiters in succession, is picked later in the draft and then lives up to the original prediction. A couple of possible examples are Rockliff and Sloane. When the player picked later lives up to his selected position then it's just a bad prediction, not a "slide" - this is far more common.
"Bolters" definitely do exist though. It only takes one recruiter with a rogue idea - sometimes good e.g. Easton Wood, sometimes less good e.g. Gysberts or Boekhorst.
