Not one mention from any of the the commentators about Batch or Conca for the best young draftees this year.

You say Conca was in teh top 3/5 draftees but just fell off near the the end of the season but... Heppel or Sheuy or Gaff although he coped a bit of injury.

How did we let heppel go ...

You need to make up your mind whether you like him or not.
If we didn't get him at pick 6, we weren't getting him at all. Club wanted him and picked him. It's really as simple as that.

I like him he will be a good player ...

BUT

Heppel is better and is a very good player which would walk into our best team when conca is a sub ...

ive been in this debate since the draft. to me heppell was top 3 and gc made the mistake in taking bennell.
and any one who thinks heppell wont be a mid in the long term is kidding themselves. lets not start on potential upside, heppells is patently better than concas. whats that motto again oh yeah bigger stronger faster with skill a pretty simple way to look at it. it doesnt even take into account performance against peers.
the question did we take the best player available imo no. did we take a decent player or even maybe a very good player probably yes.

i do know so many fools dribble shit on this site for no other reason than to defend the club and the decisions it makes.

last year on bigfooty they said RFC new he was a mid playing back and were hoping to get him later before his standout games.

I lot of misleading bs is said to put people on the garden path in the hope of snagging a slippage like Heppel on bf.

Sounds like rfc let there emotions run wild about injury etc.. and fell hook line and sinker
