Bioware's next big RPG, been indevelopment for a very long time. Preview just came out (secks scenes!)

PC release pushed back so that the 360 and PS3 versions can be built. Should be out end of year. hopefully this will be the game everyone wanted Mass Effect to be.

Looks like being exactly what I want it to be: a hardcore party-based RPG like Baldur's Gate.

It isn't going to be like Jade Empire or Mass Effect if that's what you're looking for.

A bump, but this is the first game I am legitimately looking forward to this year. Can't wait to dust off the 360!

Sadly, it seems as if the trailers have actually turned some people against the game. I'm still holding out hope for it, though. How can a game with Captain Janeway and Frank'n'furter not be good?

I wont be able to get it until all my exams are done and dusted, a slight pity =(.

To those who know something about this game a few questions.

I've looked around on gamespot and such but the many different trailors have me confused.

Is this basically an RPG game with a variety of different characters, and whichever character you pick there will be a different story line?

If that were the case, then wouldn't each storyline be underdevloped so to speak, as in it will be a series of 6 or so different mini RPGs rather than one character one storyline?

This game looks really good and I'm interested in the concept, but I'm confused by the 6 different trailors I've downloaded for this game all that don't seem to relate to one another.

Does anyone know what this game is about? Or can they explain to me how it's going to work?

As far as I am aware it will be one story told from 6 or so different perspectives, so it should still be a pretty full story, there'll just be some minor differences in character reactions to the character.

The one problem I have with the trailers I've seen thus far is the graphics.

Agreed. Especially in the elf trailors, the characters look pretty basic and cartoonish. It looks like something from a few years back on the PS2.

I think a bigger concern is the DLC. Persistant storage for loot outside of character inventories is only available for a fee. Still, if the core game is good, these are minor annoyances.

There is a flash game you can play whose achievements will unlock stuff for the actual game. It's called dragon age journeys. check it out if you are interested in the game.

Change of plan, I ll be going into town to get this on Thursday =P. Ill be having a break from study on Friday to play it :thumbsu:

Gamespot gave the PC Version 9.5/10. PS3 and 360 versions 9 and 8.5 respectively. I'm still split whether I am going to purchase this for PC or 360. For the PC, not quite up to reccomended specs, (RAM the main bottleneck) but I think it will be cheaper and have a slightly superior gameplay experience. 360 has poorer graphics (compared to PC's maximum output) but of course a more stable frame rate, and running experience. The PC version will be cheaper too I'd assume, about $20-$30 cheaper.

However, my Xbox360 needs dusting off, hasn't been used much these last few months.

In anycase, this is the first time I have anticipated a game this much since Fallout 3.

If the PC version is 20-30 bucks cheaper, spend the money on some new RAM and get it on PC. RAM is cheap as chups anyway.
There is no way I'd be playing this on 360, it would suck arse. Just screams that it is a keyboard and mouse game.

I have nightmares thinking about playing BG on a console, I'm sure this won't be too different.

Well in a most unusual situation, the PC version is the same price as the 360 version at EB and JB's online stores . I must say thats highly unusual, the PC version of most games I've brought have nearly always anywhere from $10-30 cheaper.

I think it is about 50 bucks on Steam, it won't be much cheaper at the brick and mortar though.

What are your computer specs?

Yeah, it's far cheaper on steam. Unfortunately i'm capped for next 6 days D:

Dilemmas D:

Edit: Ok:
$49 US on Steam
$110 Aus in EB

That's one frikken expensive box and manual
Guess i'm waiting 6 days for this one lol :/
