As was always known by anyone with a modicum of intelligence , this case was never going to succeed.

Some three and half years after Batterham rightly executed a citizens arrest on a thieving cockroach known as Ricky Slater who unlawfully entered his house, he has finally been acquitted. The Judge of course found that the DPP was in error, as they so often are in preferring these charges, and specifically stated the charges should have been dropped once the medical evidence on Slater confirmed his poor health resulted in his death.

Of course any half baked fool could see it, so you wonder why it is we employ Police and prosecutors who "apparently" are experinced in these matters. So "experienced" that they end up wasting a million dollars of taypayers money throught their own stupidity and incompetence. Because that is the cost to the taxpayers of this whol palaver, once Batterhams has all his costs recompensed.

So know your rights. Do not speak to police, and always film police. They are not there to help you, they are there to cause you grief and get you jailed. Gable Tostee, Bill Spedding, Sue-Neill Fraser, etc, are just some examples of what happens once these low IQ daleks in uniform decide you are going to be the bunny and stitch you up.

I inevitably wonder whether it is the police persisting on the continuation of certain cases. I know in some situation it is the prosecutors pushing it when even the police know it was stupid. I've seen people been charged with a number of offenses as normally happens until there is clarity or it is reorganised to reflect what they should be charged with however sometimes there has been the prosecutor pushing for certain charges to be continues even when the judge has told them that there is no chance of proceeding with these and advising a prosecutor to dump. Definitely know for a fact that some of the prosecutors are quite theoretical in the approach and thus why they are doing it compared to defense of an accused because they cannot think widely about concepts like how to defend or whether this will be plausible is it relevant among others.

It is for the reasons of asphyxia that in the prisons, you aren't allowed to cuff someone's hands behind their back, they have to be done in front (so it's easier for them to bash you)

Not quite right hammer. They can cuff from behind but from my memory the prisoner is not to be forced onto his stomach and have about 5 officers jump on him.

Not once at Barwon did I cuff a crook's hand behind him. Whether it be for an external escort in the heavy duty Chubb cuffs or for an internal move in the generic saflok cuffs, it was always to the front. Even management crooks who had to be cuffed just to open their cell doors and take morning requests, their hands were cuffed to the front through the trap and then an ASP baton was inserted between their cuffed hands and the cell door and the door was opened slowly, the crook was forced to walk out as the door was opened.
