There's probably been a few times where I've driven and would have blown 0.05 or more. The worst night I had of those was when a guy from the cricket club I play at died suddenly during the day (a Thursday) and the majority of the playing group went down to the club and had a few beers in his memory. I would have had about seven beers in just under two and a half hours so I was pretty anxious driving home although I made it without fuss.

I try to limit it to one or two beers every two hours although cricket season is generally pretty bad for me to keep to this limit I have, if I drive I'll never have more than four drinks though over a lengthy period of time. If people are responsible enough to stick to their own limits or goals (provided they are responsible and reasonable) then people can have one or two and then go home. It's the idiots who have 10+ beers, get blind drunk and then drive home and do stupid shit are the real idiots.

A guy I'm friends with who plays at another club drink drives everywhere, couldn't even imagine how many times he's been over the limit and drove home, I'm surprised he hasn't been done. Another guy who plays at our club drove home once and could barely get his keys in the ignition, would've blown the thing up if he had have got tested.
