Anyone going 'all out' and spoiling themselves with some expensive 'alcoholic beverages?' Or just going the plain old VB slab?

I'm really into Guava flavoured cruisers lately...

There are too many pre-mixed drinks to choose from these days...

Are you saying that buying pre mixed drinks is going "all out" ??

If so, you are mixed up.

If I was to go "all out" on drinks, I'd probably buy myself some international beer.

If I feel the need for spirits, I will probably go the bottle of Sambuca, and a shooter glass.

The last two years we've had a cocktail night at a mates place, first time it was bring a bottle of what was needed, then they just said "pay $25 each" and we'll get all the food and drink. Good value IMO. Same deal this year.

At least the lesson has been learned and creamy cocktails were banned. Very very ugly.

I'll be buying a couple of Pol Roger champagne, then c ocktails at a friends house. and yes, I'll be staying away from the cream
c ocktails, particularly ones that involve baileys.

I am pretty set on the fact that i will be drinking bourbon and coke most of the night although i am not sure whether it should be Jim Beam or Cougar

Drinking on NYE - is the Pope Catholic??

OF COURSE!!

:D

Me, I am in a beer mode at the present time - Hahn Premium Lite and West End 107's are my beverages of choice....have gone off spirits and mixers...

Have a big one whatever you are all doin'!!!

Hahn Lite?!? Why not stick to Lemonade - it's about as alcoholic and it tastes better to boot.

And West End 107?!? Ferchrissakes, if you're going to drink a beer which calls itself a Pilsener, at least buy one which tastes like a Pilsener: Splash out on a six pack of James Squire Pilsener - or if you can get it, Matilda Bay Pils.

Yes, I'm a beer snob :p

My friend bought a bottle of Absinthe the other day and we are having that on NYE. Expensive stuff but a powerful drink.

Should be a fun night.

We are not supposed to either. Vodka is very hard to smell. Think about it. ;)

Apparently, this is why the old mine workers used to drink it, and the reason its called with orange juice a SCREWDRIVER is because the miners used to stick a screwdriver in an orange and get all the insides out of it, and put vodka in there, and sneak it into the mines and drink it that way and no one ever knew!

Dont know if its true but its a damn good theory!!
