Terribly sad.

I get so frustrated with stories like this. There is clearly mental health issues going on but I can't seem to accept mental health as an excuse (although I probably should).

Hoarding is a form of mental illness, have recently had to help a friend whose mother was a hoarder. It is terribly sad, but, I can't fathom how no-one knew the child was at risk.

What, are you stupid???

http://www.vicpolicenews.com.au/news/3084-man-arrested-following-lilydale-robbery.html

Man arrested following Lilydale robbery

"Police have arrested a man following an alleged robbery at an adult entertainment store in Lilydale last night.

It is believed a man wearing a balaclava entered the Main Street store about 9.15pm and made demands for cash.

The staff member complied and the man allegedly left the store with cash and cigarettes.

It is alleged the same man then returned to the store approximately five minutes later and purchased a number of items. "

I'm no thief, but I reckon:

a) I would have stolen those extra items that I wanted rather than come back 5 minutes later without my balaclava (cos jeez, they wont recognise me, even though my pants and shirt and speech are the same as the robbers!)

b) or, if i needed these said other items, go to another adult shop somewhere else and purchase...but dont go back to the same store.

This idiot deserves to be hidden from the public at large....

Time for a BUMP

The Dumb & Dumber criminals have had an entertaining weekend.First in Frankston a couple of nuffies tried turning a cinema into a Drive-in by ramming a car through the foyer to steal an ATM.They failed badly.

Then in Geelong West a couple of halfwits failed at stealing an ATM,but highly amused police and the staff at the bar they broke into. They broke in to steal an ATM.Slight problem, the ATM was empty as it wasn't working and hadn't been for a week. Then the numbnuts did a getaway in a milk truck.Wait there's more.....in the truck they had a small motorbike to make a getaway after they dumped the milk truck.Slight problem,it was a small bike and there was 2 of them,so it was a very slow getaway. No suprise they were caught.

Saw this one on the news they would certainly not be the first crooks to leave a crime empty handed, but I don't agree that it was really that dumb.

They smashed through the front window stolen car no plates then had the common sense to reverse into the atm so the car continued to work and drove off when it failed and so far haven't been caught

You forgot to add the very important word "Yet" after "so far haven't been caught"

I believe the car was recovered without number plates - the vin number tells you the car, the car will be full of DNA, maybe even fingerprints on the car....should have burnt it out and or a solvent to kill any DNA. Cops can do the calculation in time taken to drive from the crime spot to the location found, as it was night and not much mobile phone traffic, get the calls from the nearby towers...check nearby CCTV - all just standard routine detective work that will see them charged sometime in the future.

A few years ago in Adelaide...

A man who broke into a pizza shop in Adelaide last night, answered the phone while in the premises.

Police said the store in Bank Street in the city was broken into just after midnight, activating an alarm.

When the alarm monitoring company rang the pizza store, the offender picked up the phone.

Police station is around the corner ... they arrived and arrested a 27-year-old man outside the store.

About 10 years ago we used to live opposite a primary school and in school holidays had an open line to the 'police attendance' number.

I was woken up early one morning by rocks being thrown at the computer/admin block.

I rang police and the thieves still managed to break in and legged it with some gear.

The thieves jumped in a car and sped around a corner onto a main road, nearly colliding with an umarked patrol car.

At 3am, the police were a little suspicious and decided to check over the car then they looked in the boot ...
