Ralph Carr Hey. Now correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Carr advise Dusty to not sign Richmond's initial offer the last time that Martin's contract was up? It then led to Martin being shopped around which resulted in Richmond withdrawing their initial offer. When Martin did eventually sign, that offer by Richmond was reduced which resulted in less coin for Martin. Now our Buddy Barrett alluded to it a few weeks back I can't help but feel that Carr wants payback. :stern look

North are pretty much on a "don't speak to the media" blanket ban regarding trading this year.

Last year we were linked to Harlett, Green, Nathan Brown, O'Meara, Mayne, Pickett, Hoskin Elliot etc etc... but in reality we were having a $1m crack at Heeney.

Given NMFC need board approval for those types of offers, it was discussed and signed off on well before trade week, and with so many parties involved it didn't become public until after trade week.

The only reason Kelly and Martin are public this year, is because we blinded the media to the big story last year.

Carr's probably feeling pretty foolish last time around. Dusty tours bankstown comes back and is offered less by Richmond than the initial offer.


I'm saying he can't be foolish to make that same mistake again.

Which if true, I'd still be holding a minor resentment toward Richmond if I were Dusty , and moving on elsewhere for more $$ isn't a difficult decision.

Carr would be spewing getting less for his client then he should have.

I'm also not confident that Dusty will leave Richmond, but, given that he's a restricted free agent, I doubt that they'll be stupid enough to try and shortchange him again.
