I think if Nank was a reliable 22-game player he’d have been sole captain. And if Grimes was 27yo he’d have been sole captain. I don’t like dual-captains and it goes against Tiger tradition but I can see why they’ve taken that path.

I just hope Dusty, Graham and Vlastuin make up the 5-man leadership group. It’ll be a brave player to not tow the ‘company line’ if you’re answerable to those 5.

Did you even read the offical announcement? The decision wasn’t made in a vacuum solely by the players and it wasn’t just a popularity contest

"As a football club, we place enormously high regard on the importance of leadership. Clearly, our planning for our future leadership format has come to fruition in the last few months following Trent selflessly standing down as captain,” Livingstone said.

"We had a rigorous process, and after gaining a shared understanding of what it takes to be a leader at Richmond and seeking input from the entire football department and endorsement from the Board, we reached the exciting decision to have Toby and Dylan as our co-captains.”



I just always find it odd that as fans with no practical knowledge of how the club runs internationally we know better than the actual club
