The contrast with his brother is pretty amazing.

Jack a first round draft pick, Dylan a PSD afterthought. Jack was named captain of Melbourne while Dylan was recovering from multiple serious hamstring injuries. At one stage Jack had played 85 games to Dylan's 39.

Fast forward a few years - Jack's ambitions went unfulfilled; Dylan has a premiership medal, has played more games and is in the conversation for the All-Australian team.

Talk about the fickle finger of fate.

Jack tried to get Dylan over to Melbourne at one point. Was told how good things were under Roos and how they were going to be successful. Dylan told him no way.

He's been one of my favourites for a few years, always works hard, quiet and unassuming, his run down and tackle a couple of weeks back was classic football.

He went through a ducking phase a few years back. And he was awful at it, but still got the frees. Glad he moved on.

Had one absolute shocker last night on the wing with the duck and arm raise. Somehow conned the out of zone umpire in to a free kick.

But even Grimes' ducking might've been a good thing, he was so bad at it that it highlighted just how blatant players were in trying to draw free kicks and the game finally wised up to it.

I thought Hodge gushed over him every chance he could get. Certainly got a lot of deserving praise when he just kept winning important 1 on 1s.

Hodge referring to Grimes as Richmond's Stratton is pretty high praise considering how highly Hodge respects and rates Stratton. Getting compared to a 3x Premiership player is nothing to sneeze at. I'm inclined to agree with Hodge on this one.

Grimes is a gun. Should have been AA.

Hugely overrated
