Have already overtaken Walsh and Winderlich, who were drafted the year before, you would think ? I really thought Winderlich would make it this year, and he still might, but Dyson certainly has shown far more.

Stanton is the opposite of what i thought he'd be when we drafted him. I was under the impression he had the skills but wasn't physically ready, but while he looks mature enough some of his kicks end up quite awful. His poise and running ability appear above average though, i'm just wondering if perhaps it's the pressure of the AFL or does he have a kicking weakness ?

Think we drafted very well this year.

Does appear so doesnt it :D Jay Nash has been among the best up at Bendigo 2 from what ive heard as has Bradley. Cartledge and Laycock also progressing and likley to get a bit of game time this year.

On another note the return of Courtney Johns can be expected in 3 to 5 weeks which i believe is why we havnt promoted anyone for Reynolds so we can keep Lovett-Murray on the senior list.

Hird Johns Murphey
Cupido Lloyd Lovett-Murray

Dyson looks great, probably the most impressive first few games I've seen since Welshy a couple of years back.

Stanton has impressed me too. He runs the lines....and I think his skill will improve once he gets used to the pace of AFL standard....they are definately ahead of Walsh and Winderlich.....although I hope those two can come through also. Can anyone tell me wheather Darren Walsh has bulked up at all?.....cant remember seeing him so far this year.

Great to see ricky finally wind up from outside fifty with that great goal against the swans. His teamates should use him more forward of centre as his footskills are sublime.

Stants needs to calm down with the ball. He rushes his kicks far to often and kicks a lot of floaters. Im sure that will come with more experience.

Ricky, Ricky Dyson is a future captian. That running goal he kicked was sweet, i was right behind it. I was literally jumping up and down

Dyson looks really promising............great poise under pressure / good skills

Stanton is the new Paul Hills of '93!

Both Dyson and Stanton have been impressive but have been given a fair crack at it this time unlike Walsh and Licha who were given very little chance at it before being dropped again.

Walsh has put on a little weight but Glandular fever does hamper and hang around for quite a while if you get a decent case of it. even after the initial onslaught of the virus. Another season in the two's gaining weight and honing his craft won't hurt.

Licha had a few personal problems I have heard (few friends/family killed in an accident i think) so that might explain where his head is at.

I still am a firm beleiver that Walsh and Winderlich will be 100+ gamers for the EFC both have a tone of pace & skill and are only 19 plenty of time to go.

Stanton and Dyson are going great atm but i expect them to drop off as the season goes on as most 1st year players do.

But the club looks to finally have some depth as all the kids drafted in the past two seasons have what it takes its just a question of when there time to crack into the side will be.

Hell don't say that, look what happened to Heffernan.

Great Footy skills, rather him have 10 kicks than some others with 20.

Good head on his shoulders.
Seems to remain calm when chaos surrounds him.But a long way to go.

Im a huge Dyson fan. He shows signs of brilliance which will be fine tuned in the coming years and hopefully he can become a permanent midfielder.
