That game really didn't impress me that much, but it looks like it could be a fun multi game.

Rock Revolution's (a horrible attempt to make money from Guitar Hero and Rock Band) very own senior product manager tries to play (an albeit tough song) and fails miserably on stage in front of everyone as the song cuts out halfway through due to her shitness. I think the highest streak she gets is about 4.:thumbsu::D:thumbsu:

sad thing is konami invented the genre :o

Although that looks HUGELY polished from it's showing at last years E3. I really don't know about this. The shooting looks much tighter which is good and it's a TPS/FPS as well from what it looks like, which can offer nice variation. But there's a lot that looks average too.

I think the key is how it works. It's an MMO, but is it a competitive MMO where you go up against others, because then I'd probably give it a pass.

But if it's an MMO that has a distinct co-op flavour then it might be worth picking up as it's definitely unique (has a Team Fortress 2 feel) and I love co-op.

Will be good to get some proper info this week.
This changes nothing

30 mins of Move gameplay

utterly unoriginal and bland

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdnb7t_sony-move-im-vorab-praxistest_videogames
What do you expect? It's the casual games...they're meant to be unoriginal. And remember the Wii titles that sell the best are realistically fairly bland too (apart from Mario titles I guess). It's simply appealing to the Wii market, if you can't see that then you're biased. Natal is doing the same thing, no matter which way you look at it, their titles will be just as shit and it will all revolve around much the same type of unoriginal stuff.

I don't care much about these casual titles (Table Tennis could be interesting). But SOCOM 4, LBP2, Tiger Woods 11 and whatever that Alan Wake looking game is can send me to getting Move as long as they use them to the extent that the gameplay is elevated.

Funny thing is, it looks way more fun than Wii Sports.

the thing is..... it doesn't even look better than wii sports resort (not fair to compare to original wii sports....thats 5 years old) .... its basically a clone of it....

the character design and animation is ewwww

expected more after they had so many years to develop a strategy

New DK? **** yes if true! I loved DK 64. Shame Rare aren't there to make it but still sounds exciting.

DK 64 is probably my favorite game.

hehehehehe

Anyway, Microsoft Natal is now called Microsoft Kinect.

Among games in the works:

•Kinectimals lets you train and play with 20 different virtual cats, including a lion, cheetah and tiger.

•Joyride, a racing game, lets players use their hands to hold an imaginary steering wheel — pull your hands toward you and push back out for an acceleration boost — and their bodies to execute jumps and tricks.

•Kinect Sports has six activities including boxing, bowling, beach volleyball, track and field, soccer and table tennis. To serve a volleyball, you mimic the real motion; in soccer, you can kick the ball or do a header.

•Kinect Adventures includes a river-raft time trial and obstacle course, playable by up to four players. On the raft, playing as a duo, you and a partner must lean one way or another to steer. Jumping helps the raft reach special areas for extra points.

•Dance Central, in development by MTV Games, brings a So You Think You Can Dance experience home.

•Star Wars characters and iconic Disney favorites will be featured in separate new games being developed at Microsoft in conjunction with LucasArts and Disney.

wtf is going on in MS's conference? :O

It's probably got something to do with the Cirque du Soleil performance.

Personally I liked the name Natal, but that's just me. If Kinect is going to do well, it definitely depends on the price. I going to go out on a limb and assume the $189 is the bundle with the Slim, but take that with a grain of salt. I'm just using logic because pricing an accessory that high would be suicide.

poor itagaki :D

apparently the ponchos have electrical devices in them....so I guess they'll light up >,>

Haha considering how stylish that guy likes to be, this must be excruciating for him.

This event is just for Kinetic with a big performance by Cirque du Soleil. The actual press conference is still at 3:30AM AEST.

ouch :3

looks like both wii-toos are going down in flames

To say I was disappointed with Kinect would be putting it mildly. After waiting at the Galen Center for a couple of hours, other than the name, Kinect, nothing was revealed except a handful of pre-recorded demos where actors clearly pretended to control the on-screen characters (avatars) with their own body movement. At several points the avatars would move before the actors did, ruining the illusion of a real live demo of Kinect. This body-synch debacle makes Milli Vanilli's legendary lip-synch outrage look tame by comparison.

Saw some of the videos, underwhelming to say the least. All the games shown look like crap (as in like Wii counterparts). The movie controls thing looks interesting, but what happens if you want to scratch your nose, not rewind?

All in all MS better wish they have somthing awesome for tommorows presentation.

EDIT: Some reactions

Found a video for the 'event'.

http://videos.videogameszone.de/v/35iRUQhzQhJ/Kinect/Video-vom-beeindruckenden-E3-Event/

Its not the whole thing and its in slow-mo but it gives a good indication of what is being talked about.

I get what this pre-recorded talk is about. Not only do the arms of the avatar on the screen not move like the persons but later on when the two kids are 'rafting' the raft goes up into the air practically before they even jump!
