The WAFC took over running the colts coz they could get more players drafted. Nek minit only 7 and a few rookies.
Bet they will still talk themselves up.

Next year could be different tho mate....can think of 5 EF youngsters in the draft gun alone for 2019....Luke & Jai Jackson, Rivers, Sharpe and Ruscoe....if O'Reilly has a strong 2019 that makes 6.....can really see the numbers spike next year for WA draft wise....

Really surprised O'Reilly didn't get drafted. Can play anywhere, good size and superior skills.

2019 is a great opportunity for him to play a full season injury pending.

Maybe as a more roaming half forward who can be a bail out kick from defence with Loersch and Stranadica controlling the air deeper

East Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the return of some exciting former Sharks and the signing of a promising youngster.

Tom Bennett returns after spending the 2018 away with work. Bennett had an excellent debut season for the Sharks in 2017, playing 16 league games and averaging 18 touches- an effort that earned himself Best First Year player. He can play through the Midfield, either Inside or Outside, as well across half back.

Kyle Baskerville was a highly rated Junior that was cut down with injuries through his Colts years at Shark Park. A hard-running winger, Baskerville took time away from the WAFL, playing a full season with Rockingham in the Peel Football League (PFL) this year. Looking to establish himself at League level, Kyle will be a player to watch in the 2019 season.

2016 Henry Jeffery Medallist (Reserves Best & Fairest) Jesse Adamini, had a strong start in 2017 but battled through the season with injury. Adamini registered 16 games for the Sharks over 2016 and 2017 season, showing plenty of promise through the midfield. After having this season off to travel, Jesse returns to Shark Park determined to pick up where he left off.

Kyle Havelberg joins the club from Peel Thunder. Kyle is a tough Inside Mid who was a member of the 2017 Colts Team of the Year. Kyle spent the 2018 season at Rockingham in the PFL. Yet to make his League debut, Kyle will be looking to impress throughout Pre-Season.

Andrew Stokes, who registered 13 league games for the Sharks is an athletic defender with a penetrating kick that can play ruck and forward

Hope EF get a decent tsf fee for Marsh wanting to play for Subi or SF....pity the fella has not chosen EF, but that is life....Be interesting to see if that is the end of anymore ins for EF now....started off with a bang now a mere whisper now.

So ins are Strnadica, Morgan, Manning and Havelberg....with returns of Bennett, Stokes, Adamini and Baskerville....one could say Boekhorst is an in considering his little cameo this year round 1 v Peel before doing his knee. Obviously Strnadica provides height up front with Loersch and around the ground with Griffen....Manning provided hardness and leadership to the team....Morgan is apparently a run with type with talent....Havelberg a talent inside mid who finished top 3 in the colts comp F&B and made the colts team of the year in 2017....whilst all those returns provide quality depth to the club. Boekhorst if fit provides excellent outside run.

Of the outs Marsh is a big loss, Fletcher had potential, Green and Kalazjic less so...whilst the likes of Omodei, Howson, Bristow, Ellis, Mirco and Fahey never got on the park.

Looking forward to seeing development in the likes of 2nd year youngsters in Scott, Bockman and Zac Jackson...whilst former colts boys stepping up into seniors in Watson, Murdock, Davidson, Robinson, Eaton, Diggle, Smith, Murphy and O'Reilly.....plus more game time and less injury time from other quality youngsters in Perry Bailey, Cronan and Ryan....whilst a change in playing fortunes with a new coach in the likes of Harding,Holmes and Burton.

From a colts perspective the quality core of Luke Jackson, Rivers, Ruscoe, Sharpe Jai Jackson and Dylan Curley will be key players when available, whilst under agers from the State 16s in Haddow, Dann, Ed Curley, Walker twins, Carroll and Tirant will be keen to push hard for colts footy....no doubt other hidden metro and Gero gems will surface from PSA, Metro and GNFL ranks as well....

The coach and Footy manager have outlined their need for quality folk, thus who knows there may be more outs from the 2018 playing list to come....no one should be indispensable either....if they don't fit the desired drive for an improved club culture and ethos..... then move them on regardless...time will tell I guess.

Word is that Hampson has walked out on the club due to a disagreement of some sort.

Think Hampson will always have those “creative differences” no matter what club he plays for.

Goes back to what Freeze said. Billy wants quality folk in the team, not individuals who might drag the team down.

Massive loss on field but if it means a regular WAFL game for a returning player or promoting the depth than it has to be seen as a positive overall.

Also pretty peeved to see Harry Marsh reject us considering we put him on recruiters radars but thems the breaks.

    Hopefully transfer fee is fair.

Would think EF would get the max tsf fee for Marsh mate....around 15K....definitely would of been handy up back for EF...but not to be....Can't see him getting a another AFL gig TBH....despite going to Subi....perhaps if Jono had stayed he would of come back to EF.....
