100%. So how do we change the current mindset?

So punish 20+ 10-14 year olds because someone’s old man can’t keep their mouth shut… seems a bit unfair

Yeah it’s harsh but ultimately it’s the clubs that oversee coaching appointments and should be aware of who the officials are also. I just think if punishment is severe clubs and coaches etc will need to be responsible or they will wear the wrath of the good parents.

Seems it's ok for junior clubs to reference a JDO, Director of coaching and even "wellbeing co-ordinators" yet when these issues or area's of concern arise, who fulfills the duty under each role description?

Big grey area in local junior sport, and sometimes it takes just one brave person (or body) to envoke change, and then another 1-2 others to say "yep I'm with ya" ....

Oak Park pulled their 2nd 18.5 team so only Hillside & Moonee Valley with 2 18.5 sides.
Would have liked those teams to be in the newly created 4th division purely for premier teams 2nd 18s teams. Excellent idea started off big footy from TM

Do Roxy have an 18.5 team? Heard rumours they could be struggling to get enough numbers. Fingers crossed for them but it’s a challenge.

Under 18s falling down all over the place. Can’t imagine Hillside and MV second teams being competitive with Strathmore, Keilor and Abers

Hardest age group in footy imo. Kids leaving school and starting work, kids going to uni, kids commiting or day and they are all in, then next day saying they don't want to play any more. Can't wait to see our boys out there this year but it's been a lot of hard work by a lot of people to get here

Let’s not forget clubs with two teams trying to recruit players from clubs struggling with numbers but still have enough to have a team. All for clubs having 2 sides but doing while crippling other clubs I’m against.

Given Hillside & MV are the only sides with 2 18s, they’re clearly doing something right. 18s leave for a reason (unless it’s just work or stopping playing)

Big tick removing the prem 2nd sides as well from Div 2, will make it more competitive over the season.

The were always the unknown going into the season, especially on here where they seem to have low representation.
Seem to have kept a good core together so good on them, big big scalp first up!

I saw the incident. Player will get suspended I think but IMO no malice was intended.

Shame as game was shaping up to be a cracker.

No malice intended? Lined him up, jumped off the ground - 2 minutes before he did that the umpire told him to calm down.

Player then on ground convulsing with blood. Please.. everyone there knew exactly what that thug was doing.

I wasn’t close enough to see or hear what happened beforehand.
What I meant was there was no clenched fist - I doubt the Tulla player wanted to see him put in hospital.

He will get suspended. Shocking thing to see and thoughts with player and family. It was such a good game until that happened.

I thought both sets of supporters conducted themselves well afterwards with one or two exceptions.

I am MV btw.
