I'm sure Crazyburn beat Roxy
Been overseas for last 2 months so missed most of the season
But i watched Craigieburn yesterday I didn’t think they were too bad after quarter time
There recruits played well and they have a number of young kids who have a real crack which will hold them in good stead
Avondale just a bit too good in the end and just kept them out reaching distance all day

Craigieburn coach always willing to play younger players from 18s which should be great for future years. They should be a powerhouse in that big catchment area.

Agree , Crazyburn doing it the right way and if(big if) they all stay together for the next 5-8 years they will build a strong club that will hopefully be sustainable in A Grade.

" They should be a powerhouse in that big catchment area" you would think so but they have never seemed o be able to get it right especially at junior level as most locals headed to greenvale but this might change with greenvale not being the power house it once was

Lost their last 5 games with a heap of big name recruits. Surely that’s not good enough
Somethings going on down there, I heard the coach wasn’t happy with the President who cleared he’s son back to Tulla. Also was told he’s not happy that they moved on the reserves coach due to he’s hard style of coaching. Mind you they were undefeated at the time

So Oak Park dropping form. Is it due to Stredwick not playing as I mentioned early on I’m sure he had planned to head overseas hence why he dropped back to div1 to get some extra $$ for holiday..

It will be an interesting game against St Albans this week then with one club about to lose 6 in a row.

All I know is it appears the senior coach puts a lot of time in and promotes the younger players. On Saturday the 18.5s played after the seniors and once his post game commitments were finished he immediately went to assist with the 18.5s. Could easily have stayed in social rooms having a beer or head home but no he stayed to assist the 18.5 coaches. These types are only thinking of the club long term and good him the senior coach.

I asked around from a couple of people who know Jacobs and some of the older Craigeburn players. And they are saying that Jacobs may be part of the issue and his coaching leaves a lot to be desired. Players are getting more and more frustrated with him and there could be a walk out at seasons end.
Whether any of this is true or it’s just disgruntled players. I don’t know.

Unfortunately Craigieburn has a history of losing players but also can’t be seen to be held to ransom and need stability going forward. It’s difficult to find coaches and more so B grade and a bit of a hike from the city in peak traffic. Are they ready to go up? If not then his building a young group which surely is the way forward as they must hold onto the young talent.

They are nowhere near ready for A Grade(to be fair, no B Grade club are at the moment). Keep this current group and they should aim to be a regular finals contestant in 1-2 season's, then hopefully land a high credentialed coach who can bring a couple of seasoned good A Grade players with him to support this young group. Then they may have a chance of being sustainable in A Grade

Have heard the same whispers at the Sporting Club.

Just reviewing the fixture and it’s no wonder there is a shortage of teams in 18.5s with twilight games and even a couple of 7pm night games. Gee young kids will love that time slot. Absolute joke of a league really and wonder why numbers are declining..
Let’s not let the truth ever get in the way of your anectodal and often incorrect commentary Turbo!
Actually numbers are up year on year in juniors, youth and seniors. Only exception is senior women who are slightly down.
