In fairness to greenvale, you only have to look at team lists 7 regular reserve players listed on team sheet must have a few injuries? Resting players expecting an easy win? Got a shock.

Are you kidding, where have Greenvale reserves finished in the past few years. Plus their thirds have been beating up other teams. Great effort by EDS just needed to keep it up.

Does anyone out there listen to the EDFL podcasts that the 3 Adams put out.
Can’t believe some of the crap they talk.
They talk about how Strathmore at finally full strength and can win the flag, but at the same time mention that Abers are missing 9 players. 6 from last years preimership.
It seems to me that Strathmore will need to improve a hell of a lot if they are to compete with a full strength Abers outfit considering the margin was only 3 goals.

Abers team that Strathmore beat on Saturday wasn’t all that different to the team that comfortably beat Marby the week before. So I reckon that it was an extremely good win. Having said that, if Mores are to be considered legitimate final 4 contenders, much less a premiership chance, they would need to win at least 2 of their next 3. They play Keilor at home, then Greenvale and Pacco away. They also have a poor percentage in comparison to the 5 teams ahead of them on the ladder, so that’s an extra game they would need to win.

Strathmore have a talented on ball brigade, and also a good defence. Where they do struggle is up forward. They don’t seem to have a properly structured forward line, and have real difficulty kicking a decent score. At this stage of the season it is good to see no stand out favourite for the flag amongst the top 6. Couple of big games this weekend: Pacco V Abers, and Mores V Keilor.

So much for the EDFL being too scared to punish the "big" clubs.
By the looks of it, there was quite a bit of abuse towards the umps at the weekend, which simply isn't good enough. It's good to see the league handing out significant penalties for those responsible.

Spot on. Cachia of Strathmore and Thorley of Keilor recently copped 3 and 2 matches respectively for similar transgressions. And fair enough too.

It would be interesting to know the free kick tallies at some of the matches I’ve witnessed. However there is absolutely no way the EDFL would agree to it.

moving to melbourne and looking for a club to play footy, will be living inner city, what clubs would i be looking at??

Depends what part of Melbourne you will be living in and if you want to be paid (seniors), if any club has room in their cap. Or, you want to play amateur footy.
