Do you think O'Driscoll could be a good match with North? Maybe the big bodied defensive mid that makes space for the likes of Simpkin, LDU, Scott and Thomas?

Yeah i think he would help bring out the best in that midfield mix, think he will do his best winning first clearances and releasing those runners like Simpkin but can also work defensively to help them play their natural attacking games. Ideally you want a good mix of players that can do both and it’s the attacking side from the midfield that O’Driscoll needs to work on although he does it well when rotating down back.

Ed don't see Pioneer's Josh Treacy being mentioned, I quite liked him last year as an under ager, big strong lad, good overhead and reasonable finisher in front of goals from my recollections....I would have thought he possibly showed enough to be a draft chance this year but with no football he's probably one player it could effect his chances? He would have had to be a big chance at getting a game for Vic Country if the Champs were held. Your thoughts?

yeah maybe along those lines, I’d say Maynard might be the best comparison.

He was on the fringe of Country selection this year and it would seem unlikely he gets picked up, I’d assume he goes again next year and transforms himself into a big bodied inside mid which I believe was what he was aiming to do anyway this year.

I would prefer Bruhn if both he and O'Driscoll was available with the Dees pick. Class is a bigger hole than grunt IMO.

Yep going to be an interesting off-season. I won’t be updating the RMD until trade week starts from here on but my rankings could get updated more regularly as the combines are finished the finals are done for SA and WA.

Throwing names around, it’s a very even crop with a large list of players including Powell in that 15-40 range

Reid is being considered maybe at that pick at the Highest but certainly has his fans in the first round of the draft, I think he will become a Harris Andrews style of key defender.

A Moore type likely, I think he will be a bit more attacking than Reid but I feel he can develop a strong defensive mind aswell, he is a smart player and good leader.

Would be a good year to trade out of the first round to get some talent or extra picks? As the talent is even around 15-40, a couple picks in the 20’s and one in the late 30’s might not be a bad idea?

I liked what I saw from 62 and 68 which was Taj Schofield, dont know who 62 was, Burgoyne and Newchurch were decent too, i only watched a bit of the game, the standard wasn't pretty to watch.

62 was Hagan Wright, I don’t mind him.

Really like what I saw of Tunkin. Thought he was the one who really stood up in the 3rd qtr and tried to take the game away from Henley.
