At 32 Years and 10 Months of age. Can Edwards win the Brownlow?

I think he can. Why?

Because he polls well and his stats this year have been pretty good.

Season Highlights include,

32 disps (18 kicks 14 hballs), 10 marks and a goal in Rd 8 36-pt loss to Brisbane at the Gabba

25 disps (14 kicks 11 hballs) and 7 marks in Rd 6 26-pt loss to Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium

25 disps (11 kicks 14 hballs), 6 marks, 5 tackles and a goal in Rd 4 48-pt loss to Geelong at AAMI Stadium

Wins help and I reckon if Crows win the games they should win or even lose the games which they are predicted to lose, Edwards will be there. Scott Thompson may steal votes here and hopefully the umps don't confuse Thompson and Edwards because of the hair on their heads!

It means you can't place a bet on them at present.

More than likely happening because Footy Classified has just highlighted that odds of 501-1 for Edwards are absolutely incredibly wrong, so they'd be re-checking their numbers.

I really hope he wins the AFC B&F this season. As for the Brownlow there are more worthy performers this season. Nice to see he is being recognised for an outstanding career that just keeps being A grade, year after year after year.

Tyson was priced at ridiculous odds which will no doubt now be rectified but he would still have to be considered a long-shot at best to win the Charlie. If he continues with the rich vein of form he is currently in, here's hoping he finally receives that elusive yellow jacket at the end of this season instead.

Is in general contention for All Australian but will probably miss that and will be top five in our B adn F but going on previous seasons will not win that either.

A truly excellent player but just misses out on awards for some reason.

Thanks to Texas Danger for digging up the stats - for some reason, Tyson has never been a vote magnet and it would be a huge turnaround for that to change this year.

I would have had an each way on him at $501, but sadly I don't think he's even a good each way bet.

Meh, maybe I should show some faith* and make that bet anyway.

Gee he really has had a fantastic season thus far but it'd be a massive call on him to take out the Brownlow, i'd be satisfied if he made the top 10 though. He really deserves a B+F this year, there is no doubt about it.

I dunno, I reckon he's polled his fair share over the years.

Almost had it won in '05, was 4 votes off Cousins (who didn't poll again IIRC) with 2 rounds to go and in those 2 rounds he had 2 30+ possession games and they were 2 games he was expected to poll in, unfortunately the umpires did their "turn a blind eye" trick they did to McLeod in 02/03(?) and didn't award him a vote in either. This in a year he came 5th in the B&F, so I'd say he has the ability to pull a few votes others may not think he deserves. He also hasn't polled too badly since then and he has had 4 seasons with double figure votes so I wouldn't put it past him to sneak up and grab one.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Thommo was right up there this year, he tends to poll pretty well as well.

I'd love it if he did win but with Porplyzia, Thommo & Bernie Vince also having a afir few cracker games we might get 3-4 players with about 10-12 votes instead.

Ok Ill make a prediction. I dont think he will top the 16 votes he got in 05.

Just doesnt get noticed enough. Lives off those 25m - 40m chip kicks doesnt break the lines and carry the ball with a booming leg like say a Bock does. Players like Tippett, Porps, Vince, Thomspon might see alot of 3's and 2's leaving Edwards with 1's. I know the coaching staff rate him highly tho which should see him get the Gold jacket.

I am not that confident he'll win, but at the price it was worth a go.
He has been one of your best players and the crows have won there fair share of games. I couldnt understand why he was at that price so had to put $5 E/W otherwise I would have kicked myself if he got in the top 3
