Rowe was played in stupid roles last week so it's hard to guage where he is at. Egan was handy. I think Wakelin was injured so that's why.

It was good to see him being unselfish, giving off a lot of ball....
He has a skinny frame. The time he spends in the system will help his progression as a league footballer.
Numerous people I know don't cherish Egan's ability, but he has got a lot of upside. We must be patient.

Showed some things, and showed he will be a good senior footballer I think. If Brodie and/or Dane are right next week he will most likely go, considering he was a late inclusion, aswell as he is in the same team as Neon and Dids.

i know egan has his problems(mainly between his ears) but i still can't understand why he gets so much criticism . How old is he? 18 or 19. He is still as skinny as anyone on the list and is very raw. Tonight he did something he had never done and that was continue to try and bring others into the game, so he has obivously taken alot of feedback on board . He is as clean as anyone with his hands, his kicking was very good and looks to have improved out of sight since last year and he has lightning pace. I also reckon he could play many different possitions once he develops. This kid has talent . He may never be a 25 possie a week player but his x factor could be very important over the coming years.

He is still very young and I hope he can string a few good games together and get a few off his back.

He reminds me a bit of Brennan, in that he has the skills but always seems to *stop* and *think* before he uses those skills - i.e. the physical side of the game comes naturally, but the mental side does not.

Happy to wait and be proven wrong, it may be as simple as him finding the confidence to take the opposition on like Thomas and Pendles already have.

Did a few good things on Saturday night. Still lacks poise but he has a bit of time up his sleeve. Not AFL ready by any stretch yet. Happy to give him games against the lower teams but when we need to fight hard for a win he needs to be at Willi.

****ed up alot more than some players do, but those other players get every mistake noted by a couple of dozen people whilst Egan is in the safe category where no matter what he must be left alone

If an aboriginal's race is used by the 'bagger' as to why a particular aboriginal player is playing poorly etc, then that is racism and it should be attacked as such by the majority.

I only bought into this discussion because of what you said in regard to racism in one of your earlier posts.

I can't recall the post but if you used the colour of his skin as to why he was shyte then that is racism.

BTW Cole is shyte but that is because he is fat, does not have great awareness, and thinks he is better than he actually is.

Yeah, it was a bit strange, but despite the "best players at Williamstown get a senior spot" claims from our coach, I reckon it's never even been remotely factual!

In this instance, they made a choice based on match-ups and it was the correct one. Indeed, they probably knew Egan was going to play from the get go.

So why him if his form was as most say average? Well, there are some players who need to learn the hard way, or are blessed with enough natural talent that they really require a challenge which is over and above what their form at lower levels dictate. I think Chris is firmly in this boat.

He coughed it up once badly and a second time was not great, but he was generally good. It was an encouraging performance, without standing out. As Wiz said over at Hotrod's, it's good that he wasn't as bad as he has been, but he is capable of levels above that, and if and when he "clicks" we'll be excited (ala. Franklin's recent form for the Dawks).
