Black Knife Tiche+10 summon is better than Mimic.

He's quick, can teleport but can also inflict blood loss damage he was very handy against Elden Beast
Yeah she's pretty good but the Elden beast is immune to bleed (and all statuses from memory) so I wouldn't rely on her bleed damage against the Elden beast in NG+ and beyond.

Yeah havent started NG+ plus yet

it's not the same thing, but I leave a little skull icon on the map whenever I kill any type of boss. Tends to help me keep track of what ones I have yet to kill.

i'm the opposite, if i come across a boss i cant kill i mark it and go back later. theres so much missable stuff in this game its crazy. pretty sure i have bungled most quests so far

Finally took out Malenia after two days, Jesus Christ this fight was cool, one of the best Fromsoft's ever made. Two days was just me trying to find a solution for the anime attack, then I kinda just lucked out once for 2nd phase

Then went and fought Mohg afterwards and had a really hard time adjusting to how SLOW his attack are after the Malenia fight, **** the prick btw, the lore around him is so creepy. The worst thing about the fight was all the fire, smoke and blood splattering all around the arena and I can't see shit, while he charges up an attack I can't spot from behind all the particles.

I learned during that second fight you mention that if you kill a boss while dying simultaneously that it doesn't count anymore. It was a very crushing moment, but also my own fault for getting cocky when I thought I had it won and then predictably got humbled.

Just beat Godfrey First Elden Lord after about 2 hours of trying.
His stomping attack (which breaks whatever attack you are doing and causes a moderate amount of damage through-out the arena) was really stumping me.
I tried a variety of attacks (i.e. Rotten Breath, Corpse Piler from River of Blood sword, Taker's Flames from the Blasphemous Blade etc...).
Literally all of them were unsuccessful.

Then I defaulted to the predominant strategy I was using early game, Bloodhound step to shoot around and away from Godfrey and lightning spear from my Dragon Communion Seal. During this attempt I was sloppy and going through flasks like nothing else. However, I managed to beat him on my first try.
I didn't swing my sword once, just shot around the arena and hit him with lightning. I didn't even buff the lightning with the flask of wondrous physick lightning buff.

I literally got back into the game a few days ago and Godfrey (his golden form.....
apparently he returns later and harder to beat
) is what I was up to.

2 weeks later still had issues, I ended up throwing poison clumps at him which helped strip him of health while I just went forward/back with bloody slash swipes (794 damage per attack).

The next boss
Morgott
was just as annoying. Like Margit I could survive the first phase without taking damage... but get annihilated easily during phase 2. I experimented, what ended up working for me was poisoning him at the start and again just as phase 2 is about to begin, summoned the spirit ashes. And then just attacked when I had enough time to do damage (2x blood slash, then move away).

Have to find the path to the giant mou tain place next. Buttt with my new found confidence I back tracked and took on the individual Magrit forms (that spawn near the capital and Altus Place) and beat them fairly easily.... 2+ weeks ago I chickened out and ran past them.

Also went and got the gold scarab, wish I did that earlier (even though the area is a pain....the bosses were very easy). Getting more runes per enemy death now.

Yeah, this was his actual boss fight (in the City of Ash) not the precursor.
The gold version of Godfrey I think I killed at about level 100 on the first try, same with Morgott.
His actual fight last night I was at level 225 and still struggled.
Suffice to say the scaling on some of the final bosses is substantial.

I'm so screwed lol

Level 93 at present. I'm at that point where the basic enemies are 1 hit kills. But I have to be more guarded (most can also just about 1 hit kill me as well).

I do like going around the caves/dungeons where the enemies are painful..... yet the bosses of the zone go down like Patrick Dangerfield at the slightest bit of contact.

What's your build?

What's your build?

Vigor 43
Mind 27
Endurance 13
Strength 32
Dex 19
INT 10
Faith 8
Arcane 20

Have a +15 sword that I've got the Bloody Slash Ash of War attached to
+6 Crimson flask, with 11 "uses"

Have read that it's ideal to get the Vigor to 50-60 (preferably 60). I started off wanting pure strength, but deviated quite a bit since the early levels.

Unfortunately you've put a lot into mind but you are pretty limited with your int, faith and arcane being somewhat low.
I suggest that you go one of two directions, either:
1. go blood build from here. This would include getting the Ash of War Seppuku as you will now have access to the Mountaintop of the Gaints. You should also get either the white mask or mask of confidence and talismans like the shards of Alexander and Lord of Blood's Exultation. Also, IMO, Bloodblade Dance on Eleonora's Poleblade is just more fun that Corpse Piler on Rivers of Blood. It is also much better for large groups of foes. Sometimes I have this in my right hand and the Blasphemous Blade in my left with the Taker's Cameo talisman and just lay into groups of enemies. Any health lost is immediately returned to me (with interest) with each kill.
2. go strength/tank here. You would want to get armor that gives you great poise (i.e. Veteran's Set) as well as something like the Great Stars (which is easy to get on the Altus Plateau and allows you to have an active Ash of War, such as Endure, as well as providing you with health back on strikes). Things like the Crimson Amber Medallion +2, the erdtree's favour + 2 and the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman are a must for this build as it will make you an absolute tank. You will need to invest a lot of levels into endurance though. I played this build for a time and while it is definitely easier I didn't find it as interesting as my blood assassin build with bloodhound's step. At the end of the day you have to enjoy the build that you are using.

It is also imperative to make sure that you have a ranged attack as there are some bosses and enemies (looking at you Lord Rykard) who you just are going to struggle to get especially close to without taking copious amounts of damage.

Yeah being honest I didn't (and still don't really... lol) know the best paths forward - I wasn't even using a tailsman until yesterday!!! despite having 4 slots available. I've put about 100 hours into the game so far. I upgraded mind a bit because I was (faintly) hoping that I'd be able to summon spirit ashes multiple times with a bigger FP bar - obviously I was mistaken :P.

In terms of my build, I didn't have a set idea on what I wanted to accomplish aside from strength and being able to swing and damage as much as possible. Then I read I was near the blood slash ash of war, so I worked my way toward and got it. That then that altered my play style a little (stopped using a shield etc). I'm collecting the flowers and other items, but I've barely done anything with them with the cooking pots. The blood build was an idea I was flirting with for a bit. I still could make a few late adjustments, would take a bit of rune farming to correct things.

I've been going through the game since then with minimal hurdles (being the bigger bosses). Radahn was a cool fight, that took a few goes, and the golden form of Godfrey which I only just beat a few nights ago after my 2 week break (I swear the brightness of Altus Plateau gave me blood shot eyes!!). Morgott was easy once I smartened up and used poison to help weaken him.

It's basically impossible to answer q's about how much time ppl have left. Every time you think "oh this must it" you wander and discover a completely huge new area you thought couldn't exist, plus all the other shit you have left undone that you're conscious about, plus all the untold hours you could potentially spend on some of the end game bosses.

I just had trouble with golden godreys shade due to the small arena, got him after a while and then I somehow go morgott first try

Is this about halfway through the game? Or further?
The easiest answer is you've got 5 more mandatory bosses to get through before the final boss fight.

Small arenas are the bane of my existence in Elden Ring. If I have space I feel almost indestructable.
Fighting the Fallingstar beast in what felt like a tiny room in a cave was an absolute pain.
Then the second rendition of Godfrey was bad because he has a stomp that impacts you everywhere in the arena.
You literally cannot get away from it, it will stun you for a second (unless you are high poise) and take a small chunk of health.
And then, if you're really lucky, Godfrey will do this attack about a dozen times in a row.
The only way to avoid this is by timing your doge or jump (more effective) every time.
But even if you do, by this time your summons is dead.

My biggest peeve is the little shit lol. Like, change the colours of the caves like sky skyrim if I've cleared them, lol. Game is huge, and I can't keep track of what I've done over 50+ hours. Or if I've finished a quest line, take the site of grace trails off the map. Just something to know I've cleared an area, I keep getting worried I've only have explored a tower/area
