Can anyone explain the technical reasons behind the framrate drops, pop-in, input lag on PC and PS5? It runs really well on ps4 and it's just a standard original ps4. I figured it would be the other way around (ps4 being sucky, PC and newer consoles running better). It feels backwards 😂
 
Think this will be too hard for me. Don’t have time to spend on it but in a weird way I enjoy reading about the game and watching streams of people play it haha

This is so much more accessible with the spirit ashes, ashes of war, mount etc. This is awesome.

Tried going east a bit of gatefront ruins but too much stuff there wanted to destroy me. Just went to Stormhill instead. Have only killed the Groveside Cave boss who I cheesed with Storm Stomp. That stupid troll thing at the gate was giving me the shits until I found out how to summon spirits. Now they do my bidding lol. I've probably missed some cool early weapons and I have no idea what build or playstyle I'm going for. So far just pumping points into vigor until I work it out. I promised myself I wouldn't go slow two hander this time around but I'm already two handing my starting scimitar. Old habits die hard.

I finished Demon’s Souls when it first came out.

I’m not really just spamming magic but I started as the Astrologer and after upgrading intelligence a fair bit I do some decent damage and I don’t have to get up close to most enemies.

Yeah he kicked my arse for a while. There is a specific item you can get that helps with that fight which I only found out about after killing him. Don't want to go into spoiler territory in here though. Pretty sure you can skip past him, so that could be an option until you've found better gear or upgrade materials.
 
Playing an astrologer and samurai, switching between them for the different play styles.
Have killed 5 or 6 bosses so far but just spent a few hours riding around, so much to see.
Still jumping when I mean to open doors :D

Do you have any ash summons that might help distract him?

Well for starters the PS4 version would be running at a lower resolution, that's a pretty big impact.

The technical side of things has always been Froms weakness. We all remember OG Blighttown.

Still, absolutely incredible game. The sense of discovery is just awesome. Only beaten the first major boss and a bunch of the smaller dungeon minibosses but loving it.

I have Lone Wolf and Wondering Nobles

Been using The Wondering Nobles they help but I think they aren't strong enough and get taken out pretty easy need to upgrade them.

I've read The Spirit of Jellyfish works great against him so might hunt that down

You should definitely look for it. The Jellyfish is on the path leading to him, I used it against him and it was great. The wolves suck for that fight.

this is only my 2nd ever souls game 1st one was demons souls last year which i loved with a passion, ive played about 2 hours so far and ngl the open world aspect has really been the biggest thing to get around i felt like iwas lost for 30 mins but nah im having a ton of fun even tho it seems i choose the worst class in the bandit lmao i can only use daggers so far and this made the beastman boss fight so hard but keen to get more into it

im doing a lets play series on it incase anyone wants to see me be bad at the game would appreciate a sub aswell lol(delete if not allowed)

Miriel is the best character FromSoft has ever created hands down.
